I know everyone is short on people these days but I ordered on their app and it gave me an approximate time it would be ready. I showed up at that time and went in. After about three minutes they finally asked what the name was for my order. They said that had not started on it yet and motioned to the long line. Surprised by this I said we ordered it on the app fifteen minutes ago. (I would assume it would be close at least) The kid behind the counter said to me that they “have been busy the last fifteen minutes man”, again motioning to the long line. I guess that means that when you place your order online you are not put in line? They get to you when they want to? People there in person waiting in line are more important? Food is good so I give it two stars for that. It’s too bad we don’t have the technology in place that can tell you when you place the order online if you really are going to get your food in time. So I told him I would go wait in the car another fifteen minutes and check back in with him. Since they gave me fifteen minutes with nothing to do I figured I would write this review. Sad thing is if he would have said gosh sir I am so sorry we are busier than usual and your order is not ready yet, we will get right on it but please give me ten more minutes - that would have been good enough for me. But instead I got “we have been busy man”.
Just event back in and asked if it was ready yet. Kid said “ no we thought you left left” I said why would I do that? I told you I would be back in in fifteen minutes. He said “I didn’t hear you”. I said so that bag right there with my name on it does not have sandwiches in it. He looked and said oh yes I guess it does. I said you don’t know, aren’t you the boss. He said no and pointed to someone else. I said if your not the boss then don’t tell your customers you are too...
Read moreI am never ordering from this Jersey Mike's location again. Thankfully, if I'm in the area I can just go to the one in Pleasant Grove instead.
I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to restaurants making mistakes on my orders, taking too long, etc. I'm a pretty patient person. However, when there starts to be a trend of mistakes, and these mistakes are on very simple orders, that's where I have to put my foot down.
About a month ago, I ordered a California Club on GF bread through Grubhub. It arrived at my office, and I found that while it had all of the extra ingredients I had requested, there was no bacon or avocado on the sandwich, both which are key ingredients for a California Club. Essentially, they gave me just a regular Turkey Club while charging me for a California. Needless to say, I called the location and they were gracious enough to offer me a free sandwich the next to I went in. Which I was very appreciative of, so all was forgiven.
Fast forward about three weeks later and I decide to order the exact same sandwich as before for delivery, I guess you could give them credit for improving, but when I got the sandwich it had everything correct except there was NO BACON, at this point I just had Grubhub refund my order and decided to forgo contacting the location directly.
I could understand making mistakes on particular orders, like not taking a specific ingredient out of the sandwich, or adding an ingredient I had requested, but in both instances they forgot to add ingredients that were standard ingredients that you expected to be on the sandwich, nothing fancy.
My advice is this: if you must order from here, DO NOT order through Grubhub or for any delivery. Make sure you can check the accuracy of your order on location so you can have them fix it if they...
Read moreJersey Mike's is just a better sub. Getting things "Mike's way," oh yeah.
I just have a hard time going anywhere else for subs. Sometimes at other places, I'll get like a kernel of wheat or something that tries to make their bread look more rustic, but you can taste the massive amounts of sugar trying to make up for a lack of flavor. At these other places, it's just weird and then to take a bite into something and then wonder if something hard contaminated the bread, because suddenly it's so hard. Hard pass.
This doesn't happen at Jersey Mike's. The quality of bread, ingredients and meats, the consistent process of training and enforcing standards of how the subs are made from beginning to end ensures a delicious consistent product. Hard to go anywhere else for subs. And when the family cannot agree on what to get, as soon as Jersey Mike's is mentioned, everyone is happy to go.
Thanks for creating a great product. And also for having options with people who have gluten issues, which has allowed me to surprise many friends by taking them...
