Pop's — Restaurant in Orland Township

Got a kids meal for my son. Hot Dog, bread was hard, so that's trash, hot dog itself probably made yesterday and barely warm. Fries half hard and unedible. The pink lemonade was the best thing and the only thing my son finished. Don't ask if they have a Veteran's Discount, the answer is EMPHATICALLY NO. Only cops, the girl says. So l said, no respect for veterans huh? She said, no we do, just no discounts for you. I said, do you know what Respect for Veterans means? She said, l have family that's veterans. I said, Pops are you listening, Respect for Veterans, is not only on veterans day, but like police, a Discount every day. That's respect. You see, you should ask a police person if they have respect for Veterans, they are going to say YES. Pops, if you are still listening, a police person coming into your establishment is NOT there to protect you in any more capacity than there Oath mandates. They are there to relax and eat away from the job. Give that some thought. Do they deserve a discount yes and every Vet does to. Make a change, show some RESPECT, we are only 1%. You'll survive losing a percentage of profit especially when police...

I will never visit here again! We visited there and ordered 25.00 worth of food. We got all the way home and our order was completely wrong, even after the guy repeated my order. I called the manager and told him what happened...we got 2 hot dogs and fries and a sandwich instead of our shrimp, kids meal, and breaded steak. He took my name and number and told me to come in next time and get a replacement and he was sorry.

Today I came in and they refused to honor it. The owner came in and threw those out and is refusing to honor them. I will never eat here again. You lost a good family of customers. Never again! The food is not good enough to for the owner to feel he can treat people like be that.

I was told today that I would have had to bring the food all the way back...a 15 min trip per the new policy. I was never asked to do that by the manager. Complete lack of customer service these days. I will not be spending my hard earned money here ever again!!! Go to Mickeys, Gyros Express, or Zorba's much...

POP’S Eatery located on 159th St (just East of LaGrange Ave.) in Orland Park, IL is a very popular food establishment. Folks of Southside Chicago have great things to say of the great tasting food selections POP’S offers. The menu has choices for just about everyone such as hearty beef sandwiches, breaded steak, polish sausage, burgers, hotdogs, chicken, shrimp baskets & more. The staff is friendly with good service nicely stocked with napkins, containers for ketchup & lids for cups. The 2 (family) restrooms are large & clean as well located to the rear of the store. There is a self serve pop machine with a nice variety of soft drinks to choose from. I found this store had plenty of clean tables to sit at, clean floors & a nice atmosphere for families. The price point is similar to other similar eating establishments. I recommend stopping in for a bite next time you are in Orland Park & sure it will soon...
