A wonderful barbeque restaurant just minutes from the Millenial Mall. Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ was founded in 1986 in Winter Park, Florida, by the Meiner family. It currently has 2 locations; Altamonte Springs and Orlando. My brother recommended trying the Orlando location recently. This restaurant is known for its authentic Southern BBQ and laid-back atmosphere. The seating is long wooden picnic tables inside, a few tables outside. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by the smoky aroma of barbecue, instantly whetting your appetite. The staff was friendly and quick to assist, making the ordering process smooth and efficient. You order at the counter where you pay and get your drinks. I opted for the pulled pork platter with french fries and cornbread as sides and a tea as the drink. The pork was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. It was served on a soft toasted hoagie-roll type break. Sauces were on the table. The french fries and the iced tea were very good. There are free tea refills and one of the staff stopped by twice to ask if we needed them. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food provided. The staff kept the tables bussed, the garbage emptied and the floor clean while I was there. My meal with sandwich, 2 sides and a drink was about $15. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience that I would recommend for people wanting good barbeque in a relaxed and friendly environment at a good price. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

I'm baaack!! 😋 Most people know I’m not a huge BBQ fan these days, but when the craving hits, you need something so good it'll make you wanna slap your momma! 😂 Bubbalou’s Bodacious Bar-B-Que did NOT disappoint! This was my first time experiencing Bubbalou’s, and let’s talk about the meats— I had a rib, pulled pork, and a chicken thigh. I added a little sweet sauce for fun, but honestly, it wasn’t even needed. Each meat was cooked to perfection, especially that rib! Sooo tender. My friend had the brisket and said the same — delicious and perfectly cooked. 👌🏾 Now the sides — I tried the potato salad, baked beans, mac & cheese, and corn. I’m picky about potato salad, but Bubbalou’s surprised me — super tasty! The baked beans hit, too. The mac & cheese wasn’t bad, just needed a little salt and (my personal preference) more cheese 🤷🏾‍♀️. The corn… meh. It fell a little flat. I like mine sweet, in this moment, a pinch of salt might’ve helped. My friend ordered the collard greens — I tried them and was pleasantly surprised! A little more seasoning would've taken them up a notch, but they were solid. Overall: Everything was tasty, and I’d absolutely recommend stopping by if you're in the area. I’ll definitely be back!

If you're on the hunt for some of the best barbecue in Orlando, look no further than Bubbalou's Bodacious Bar-B-Que. My recent visit was nothing short of spectacular, with the highlight being the mouthwatering brisket. The brisket was tender, juicy, and perfectly smoked, offering that rich, smoky flavor that any barbecue enthusiast craves. To elevate the experience, I decided to add their barbecue killer sauce and barbecue hot sauce. The killer sauce brought a delightful tanginess that complemented the savory brisket, while the hot sauce added just the right amount of kick, creating a harmonious blend of flavors that danced on my palate. The atmosphere at Bubbalou's is warm and welcoming, embodying the true essence of a classic barbecue joint. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. In conclusion, Bubbalou's Bodacious Bar-B-Que is a must-visit for anyone in Orlando. Whether you're a local or just passing through, their brisket—enhanced by their exceptional sauces—will leave you coming back for more.

Great BBQ with amazing in-house BBQ sauces. Great customer service. We got the pulled pork plate which came with 3 sides and toast, which easily fed 2 people!!! Definitely recommended!

Update: March 16, 2023

If you're seeking a culinary adventure in Orlando, look no further than Bubbalou's Bodacious Bar-B-Que. With its unassuming exterior and laid-back atmosphere, this hidden gem offers some of the most incredible barbecue dishes I've ever had the pleasure of tasting.

One of the standout dishes at Bubbalou's is their tender, smoky brisket BBQ. The brisket is cooked low and slow, resulting in an unbelievably tender, melt-in-your-mouth experience. The bark on the outside of the meat was packed with flavor and offered a pleasant contrast to the tender meat within. The smoke ring was a thing of beauty, a testament to the skill and patience that goes into crafting this succulent dish.

The pulled pork was equally divine. The pork was cooked to perfection, with a smoky, tender texture that paired flawlessly with their tangy, house-made BBQ sauce. Each bite was an explosion of flavors, with the perfect balance of sweetness, tanginess, and smokiness. This pulled pork will no doubt linger in my memories, as it was truly one of the best I've ever tasted.

What really sets Bubbalou's apart is their dedication to quality and consistency. Each dish is crafted with love and care, ensuring that every bite is as amazing as the last. The portions are generous, leaving you more than satisfied and eager to return for another round of their mouth-watering BBQ offerings.

If you find yourself in Orlando and craving some truly amazing barbecue, Bubbalou's Bodacious Bar-B-Que should be at the top of your list. With their delectable brisket BBQ and heavenly pulled pork, Bubbalou's offers an unparalleled dining experience that will leave you wanting more. Do yourself a favor and pay them a visit – your taste buds...

The food and the service is perfection. Stopped by for a late lunch with my family. My toddler got chicken strips (I know, surprise for a toddler) but he actually ate every bite. We also tried the fried pickles and corn nuggets, both were great but the bbq was the best. I asked the Staff which they recommended between ribs and brisket and with the warmest smile she assured me they were both delicious and suggested to try the two meat combo. I’m grateful I listened to her. I genuinely can’t remember the last time I had bbq from a restaurant that was this good. The meat was juicy, well seasoned and the sauces were chef’s kiss. My husband got the 3 pig combo and to say he’s skeptical of FL BBQ (he’s from TX) is an understatement, and even he loved everything he got. He even gave the baked beans a thumbs up (they were really good.) can’t forget to mention the fries, they were hot and crispy. From the apps, to the sides and main dishes, everything was delicious. The food came out quickly. I don’t think we waited even 15 min between the time I ordered before our food was out to the table and the restaurant was busy. (Round of applause to the back of the house.) Every staff member we met was fantastic and friendly, the portions are huge, the food is 10/10, and the prices are fair for what the market is right now. There’s a sign on the door that explains there a small $1-2 variance for some menu items listed price on the paper menu vs prices displayed on their hard stand menu (which I absolutely understand. between quality of food, portion sizes and staff, the prices are a great deal.) Also the Staff member who welcomed us in took the time to explain that too as he handed us the menus. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone. There was nothing that could have made the experience better. Huge thank you to...

Just okay. I've driven past Bubbalou's many, many times, but a conversation with my chiropractor, not far away, spurred our decision to finally give it a try. My wife and I ordered the special combo which consisted of ribs, 1/4 chicken, sliced beef, and sliced pork. Sides include baked beans, crinkle cut French fries, and coleslaw. The restaurant is set up fast food style, and they give you a number so they can bring your food to the table you choose. The atmosphere of old signs, and taxidermy trophies would be about what I would expect at such a place - no complaints there. The fries were pretty typical, and were used to taste the various BBQ sauces already at the table, along with a mustard. Baked beans weren't too bad, but my wife said the coleslaw tasted a bit old. Ribs had a good flavor, and the meaty portion was delicious, but since it was mostly fat, we felt a little disappointed. Chicken was also flavorful, and juicy. The sliced beef, and pork, however, left a lot to be desired. My wife ate very little of either, and left most of it to me (gee, thanks). I ended up heaping most of the meat onto one of the two large pieces of toast that were also provided, and attempted to drown it in the various sauces before eating. Looking around the restaurant, I was getting the impression that about 90% of the lunch patrons worked in the immediate area, and supposed that a majority of these patrons would still be here if it were a completely different restaurant that was half way decent. Would Bubbalou's be just as bodacious if it were in a different location? Although I wouldn't mind trying their pulled pork, and brisket, I have my doubts...
