We stopped by here for a quick to-go breakfast one day on our way to Disney's Animal Kingdom. I had heard of the legend of these bialys for a long time, and I just knew it was time to finally come and have one. The place is a hole in the wall tucked away diagonally from the Mills-50 intersection. It's takeout orders only, with a few small waiting tables inside. Very warm and inviting, the ambiance and the people inside. Very nice experience. As for the food itself, we got two bialys. I got the Bacon (Egg, Smoked Jalapeno Cream Cheese), and I also got to try the Veggie Deluxe (Pickled Veggie Cream Cheese, Tomato, Radish, Herb Salad, Marinated Cucumber, & Red Onion). Both were incredible. The bread was crisp and delightfully textured on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. A nice big hole, but still able to contain all the toppings within pretty well. The Bacon was as it sounded. Crispy bacon, a well-fried egg, and ooey gooey cheese that drips everywhere. The veggie caught me off guard with how good it was. The pickled, the creamy cheese, the bite from the radish, the different bite from the red onion. Crispy and fresh and really good! Do recommend. Overall, I recommend this place very much. Every bit of it was delicious, and there are endless amount of customizable combinations you can make. I will probably be back many more times before the end.

Simple and different

What did I get
To try it out, I went with a simple option. I kept it simple and got the caramelized onion bialy with plain cream cheese. I have never had a bialy so here goes. It is shaped like a bagel but it isn't as dense as a bagel. It was different to me and I liked it. Though I am not sure if mine was toasted... I think it would taste so much better a bit warm and toasted. I thought they said they would toast it... but mine didn't taste toasted. The caramelized onions was the game changer! The mix with the cream cheese was so simple yet so delicious.

Environment
This is a super small store that seem to only have take-out not sure if it is cause of the pandemic.. but there are zero seating inside. There seems to be a small area that is not associated with the store to the side that has some tables and chairs... like a shared space in the plaza. Parking can be limited...

Niceness of the staff
Very nice and friendly staff! Though simple menu she was more than happy to run through the menu with all its terminology with me!

Dollar
The bialy with the onions was $3 and the cream cheese addition I think was $1. Reasonable.

Yes?
I would def return. It was a nice a simple sandwich that isn't a bagel and would want to make sure I get it toasted to see if it is any different.

Food: i heard about this place through a few people. I was torn between ordering the corned beef or smoked salmon sandwich. So I ended up ordering the Gravlax - salmon lux with cream cheese, capers, and the bialy bread. I also added an over easy egg. The sandwich was perfectly balance with cream cheese, smoked salmon, tomatoes and capers. I love the Bialy. It was toasty but soft still. The bread was fresh and light enough but yet dense enough to hold the sandwich together. However, it is a bit on the expensive. But you are paying quality. 5/5 Service: very friendly and help staff. They provided me with their recommendations. We didn’t wait more than 12-14 min for our food. And when we went, there were at least 7-8 customers ahead of us. (4/5) Atmosphere: cute mom and pop feel shop. No seating. everything is to go. (N/A)

My husband and I wanted to try something new thanks to an instagram video. For more context, we’ve wanted a good sausage/ bacon, egg and cheese (we’re from NY so if you know, you know). I ordered a sausage egg and cheese on a garlic bialy with salt pepper ketchup. He ordered a sausage and bacon egg and cheese on a jalapeño bialy with salt pepper ketchup. Once we got home I opened it to find mine had mayo and both had no salt pepper or ketchup. We got back and the lady at the front was clearly annoyed when I tell her it has mayo and no ketchup. She then tells me my husband never asked for ketchup (I was on the phone with him when he ordered). She says they’ll remake it, okay cool. Goes over the order with me and repeats it wrong twice. I repeat the order and said bagel and she looked at me and said “okay but it’s not a bagel. it’s a bialy.” with an attitude lol. Repeats my order and says bacon so I said no bacon, it’s sausage. We get the food and there’s STILL no salt pepper or ketchup on either sandwich. There’s ONE ketchup packet inside the box with one sandwich…. The worst part of the whole situation is the lady could’ve easily told us they don’t put salt pepper ketchup on the sandwich and we don’t serve sausage since we asked for sausage more than 3 times. I get the bialy and bite into it and to my surprise it’s not sausage it’s scrapple… I honestly thought it was vegan sausage since I had no idea what it was. Googled it and found out it’s scrapple…. Aside from all of that, the bialy, egg and cheese was good. If you decide to give this place a try, make sure to specifically ask what they have in their sandwiches just In case it’s not what...

⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆

I’ve been coming to Deli Desires for years and normally love the food and the brand — I order here several times a week. Unfortunately, today’s experience really disappointed me.

I placed a pickup order through Uber Eats and sent my employee, Bruce, to collect it. He’s very familiar with your process and usually has no issues. This time, however, the cashier, Jason, dismissed him right away, saying there was no order — without even checking the bag that was sitting on the rack in the usual spot. Bruce was pushed aside, made to wait again, and even when he explained that I was on the phone ready to provide order details, Jason just stared and didn’t cooperate. Bruce left feeling as if he was being targeted, possibly because of his race — which should never happen anywhere, let alone at a restaurant.

What made this more concerning is that when I tried calling the restaurant earlier during the incident, the line would not go through. But when I called afterward to leave feedback, the phone actually rang and Jason answered. That left me questioning how this situation was handled.

I’m giving 3 stars instead of 1 because I don’t believe a single bad incident should outweigh years of good experiences. I’ve supported this restaurant for over four years, and most of the time the food and service have been excellent. At the same time, I can’t give 5 stars after what Bruce experienced today. I hope management takes this feedback seriously so that no other customer feels disrespected...

First time visiting, got a cold brew and bialy with a latke for later. Let me tell you I have lived in Orlando for 3 years and am upset I waited so long to try this little gem. I am a bit picky, so we all know that in reality I am very picky. Coffee especially iced I usually don't even bother and just make it myself. Not only did they nail the perfect strength and smoothness the delightful cashier “Big Stine”, according to the receipt topped it off with my specifically requested very light oar milk. I think the trick for food is to order ahead because there were a few parties in and out as I waited. Trust me it was worth the wait. I took my caramelized onion bialy ( fancy flat bagel thing ) to the car with my latke for later. A good Jewish girl always needs to test how your latke performs against moms. After taking a bite of this bagel thing, it was so good I almost went back inside to tell them but its 2025 so a review is much better. I did get butter but the flavor the chew and everything was delightful. If you have a big appetite you will need more food but it was perfect for my on the go breakfast. This led me to try a bite of latke. Flavor is good but besides being a small potato pancake it was not what I would normally call a latke. If you have not visited this delightful little spot I highly recommend checking it out for a coffee and...
