We were so excited to try this new restaurant, but unfortunately, our first visit was very disappointing and will likely be our last.
When we arrived, there were many empty tables, but also many that hadn’t been cleaned. Despite that, we were put on a waitlist and waited quite a while before finally being seated—at one of the empty tables we had seen earlier. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and overwhelmed, which we understand since they just opened, but the owner was walking around doing nothing instead of stepping in to help.
The food was another letdown. The cumin lamb had a strange slimy texture, and the sauerkraut with pork was mostly sauerkraut with just a thin layer of meat. The only dish we enjoyed was the guo bao rou. On top of that, after all our dishes were served, we ate for about 10 mins and realized there were no napkins on the table. When we asked a server, he told us to ask another server. Only then did the owner finally step in to bring some—something he should have noticed earlier while walking around the restaurant.
Another disappointment was the limited menu and the small portion. Many classic Northeastern dishes were missing, which made the experience feel even less authentic. The only thing that made us feel better was when we checked out, the server asked for our feedback on dishes and listened carefully.
We truly hope things improve in the future, but based on this visit, we left...
Read moreThis place is brand new and it instantly became one of my favorite spots in Orlando. The food is nothing like your typical takeout it’s fresh, bold, and full of flavor. 😋
I tried a bunch of dishes: Sweet & Sour Crispy Pork, Crispy Fried Mushrooms, Colorful Cold Starch Noodle Salad, Tofu with Chili Sauce, Stir-Fried Pork Intestines, plus rice. Honestly, everything was great, but my top favorites were the crispy pork, the mushrooms, and the noodle salad those three are absolute must-tries.
Even my boyfriend, who is a very picky eater (and when I say picky, I really mean it), absolutely loved everything we had here. That says a lot!
The restaurant itself is beautiful too the design and setup are unique, I’ve never experienced a place like it before. They also have a really good drink selection in the back that you can pick yourself or order. that pairs perfectly with the food.
Portions are generous, the flavors stand out, and you can tell they put real care into the cooking. I’ll definitely be back and bringing friends...
Read moreDelicious food, lovely interior (felt very intricate and complete), and amazing service (kind, honest, and attentive servers who engaged with us). The Chinese music was great, too.
As you can tell, we devoured all three dishes! I’ll definitely make an effort to come back!
Mala Tofu: 7/10 I do prefer Mapo Tofu which comes with pork, but this dish was flavorful and spicy (numbing feeling was present and appreciated). Di San Xian: 8.5/10 We all loved this dish. I definitely strongly preferred the eggplant (the skin was crisp, amazing). Crispy pork in brown sauce: 6.5/10 Good, solid dish. It was on the milder side and didn’t stand out as much as the other two, but very tasty. Another member in my party said it was...
