Let me preface this by saying the beef skewers were decent and pretty authentic, at least by Orlando standards. Quality Asian food is truly hard to come by in the area. Service was far from exceptional to say the least and I wouldn’t recommend anyone this place on the basis of its service alone. The listed price of regular skewers were $1.99 each, but certain meats were distinguished differently on the menu as 3/$5.99 which was basically the same thing. When the server/owner came to take our order, I asked if it was possible to mix and match the skewers from different price categories. He furrowed his brow and locked eye contact with me, revealing his body language outwards in a condescending display of theatrics. His notepad flailed through the air as he dropped his arm, looking at me as if truly bewildered by what I said, then remarking “how can I charge you then?” as if I’d have an answer for this clearly aggressive and unnecessary remark that was rhetorical in nature. Is that really the first thing that he felt the need to say without so much as an introduction or a single peep? He offered no insight on how menu pricing worked and when I asked for one of the $1.99 items, he told me I’d have to get at least 5 to order it. When I asked why, he seemed clearly annoyed for zero reason. The menu was not uniformly priced, and by his logic it’d be 5/$9.99. If there was any writing on the menu that stated a minimum order, it certainly wasn’t in English. Maybe he forgot not everyone can read Chinese in America? It’s sad if you can’t manage three tables on a Tuesday afternoon without belittling eager customers in a restaurant that doesn’t even offer tap water. Why does someone have to look at menu iterations from years ago on Google to learn how to order? Ironic that they plaster the place with One Piece decor and then proceed to botch service more than any establishment within a 5 mile radius. It’s truly both infuriating and heartbreaking as a Chinese person because this type of behavior enforces negative stereotypes of rude and vulgar chinese demeanor, both as immigrants and tourists with a clear lack of cultural nuance and any semblance of...

The sign outside says "Mr Wang Sports BBQ" in English but this place shows up in Chinese on Google Maps. Pretty legit!
This is very authentic northern Chinese cuisine according to my northern Chinese gf. She was feeling like having some comfort food from when she grew up so was really happy to find this place after looking at the menu.
The menu is filled with lots of funny typos - and if you see "beef skewers" listed twice, the 2nd one is really pork. lol
But that aside the food is pretty good but spiced differently than we're used to in more "americanized" versions. The BBQ skewers are decent but the main reason we're giving it 4 stars is the "Northern Smashed Cucumbers". I'll see if I can attach a photo but this is WELL WORTH the money to try out if you like cucumbers with this delicious semi-spicy garlic stuff on it. I'm sure I can get a more detailed list of ingredients but suffice to say it is GOOD STUFF.
You can try some nice imported juice drinks from the cooler (I had the mango, really good) to go with your meal. Overall worth...
Read moreThis place is by far the best restaurant I have dined at in Orlando. The food was outstanding. I recommend the lamb and beef skewers, the spicy fried rice, and the dumpling. We had a party of 4 and it was $32 dollars per head. It was so much food we left with leftovers for two meals for each of us the next day. Wilson was our waiter and he took took care of us like we were his family. Spectacular service, vibes, and food. Was recommended this by a friend in Miami when we were in town for Disney and universal. Told me it was some of the best he had in Orlando. Don’t sleep on this place if you do it will be something you regret and miss out on a great experience. Can’t wait to eat here again and wish I had a place like this back...
