Mr Quick Restaurant — Restaurant in Florida

If you think you are going to Denny's, keep on driving. This is a place with that friendly old American tradition called 'ambience'. It is not pretty, it is not glitzy, it is not 'stylish', it is not pre-packaged. It's what I grew up with and loved, simple, down to earth food, cooked and served by down to earth people. The laugh, they joke, with each other, with the customers, if you want politically correct sterility, this is not the place for you, but if you like family, fun and just being easy, this is a place to go out of your way for. The food is excellent. My son, now 15, says it is the best burger he has ever eaten, he had no idea burgers could be that fresh, on a good bun, and really taste like beef. Breakfast is hearty, wholesome, filling and the coffee, iced tea and sodas are bottomless (and, to answer a previous comment, nobody on earth gives free refills on orange juice, give me a break).

In any case, if you want basic food, well prepared in a homey, comfy, old friends atmosphere, you can't do better. I hope I get to bring my grandchildren here, so they know the world wasn't...

You feel like you're stepping back in time walking into this restaurant.

Remind me of the place my grandfather used to take me to when I was a kid. Just playing old home cookin'. Nothing fancy, just somebody put it in together, a mill. And it's not super expensive. Bottom line, we've had worse food and service at "nicer," looking more expensive spots.

The flavors were on point. Everything was seasoned properly. Things will cook fast and good. Burger, fresh, egg sandwiche, grits all tasted good. Coffee hot and fresh.

This is not a fancy place. This is not an edgy place. This is not a trendy place. This is where you take your kids or wife. Are you just coming here before after work to grab a quick meal so that you can go back to work and get it, which you need to get done.

Could be neater, and needs work " like an old church"

Buy if I had this location and food I could make this place a HOT spot. They got all the foundation for $$$$

I wouldn't come here on a date day, but I definitely would be back just to have a good hot meal on the way to do...

It's Thursday morning. Was looking for a breakfast joint. I think I found my go to place. Let me set expectations and the lens through which I judge breakfast joints. I love a good breakfast. It doesn't need to be complex. It doesn't need fancy table clothes.

It does need to be properly cooked. Quick. Properly priced. Friendly. and clean. Mr. Quick does the above. I tried the Gravy Biscuit Platter as it offered a bit of everything. It was cooked to order. It was tasty. No one was looking for a Michelin Star, but it was tasty as eggs, bacon, hash browns, and biscuit and gravy should be. Coffee was hot and strong. Refills were readily available.

Atmosphere. It could use some help. But it was clean. They would need to raise prices to get the budget. So let's just call it "dated and clean" which is fine by me. Hell, I'd dated. I usually am clean. So what's good or me should be good for...
