Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Orlando

This store sells sandwiches that are much smaller in proportion than other stores! This has been going on for some time now. I had frequented this Jersey Mike’s, as well as many others for years. Upon visiting this location around a year ago my sandwich was so small that I actually stopped eating at any Jersey Mike’s altogether because I assumed they had cut the size of their sandwiches to cut costs… and I wasn’t comfortable paying ten dollars for a tiny little sub. Well since then I have started to frequent Jersey Mike’s with the availability of delivery. I’d noticed how the sandwiches coming from my area, and not that store, were still indeed the size that they had always been. So today, after a long while of not eating at the Edgewater Ave. location I decided I would have a sub for dinner being that I was in the area. And let me tell you that when I got home and opened this sandwich I thought there must have been a mistake. This cannot be what they serve as a regular size sub. This would not feed any adult more or less myself. The sub looks like a jersey mikes sandwich, just proportionately MUCH smaller. The bread itself, the amount of meat especially and even the toppings were almost as if they added just a PINCH of each item. I’m shocked that they have been getting away with this for this long. They are clearly baking their bread in smaller proportions, about 50% smaller than usual, and thereby also reducing the meat, cheeses and toppings by that same amount as well. I ate the entire sandwich in about eight bites and am left feeling severely taken advantage of. I would like to believe that your recipes require some sort of consistency across all of your stores but that is clearly not the case with this sandwich. After taking my order I was asked to wait so they could cut some green peppers, ok, there is another person working and no other customers, ok whatever. The counters where the bread and food is placed after the meat has been sliced,I the counter was literrally covered with bread crumbs and there was unkept lettuce on the counter where the sandwiches are prepped, it was nasty! It was obvious the counters had not been cleaned for some time this day, today. I was appalled and almost walked out. The meat on my sandwich tasted as if it had been sitting out for a while. I was there today (3/23/22) at lunchtime to pick up an order my daughter and I placed by phone. It was the busiest I've ever seen it; I counted 16 people inside. It took a very long time to get my subs, but everybody was working so hard I couldn't get upset. I was totally impressed (in awe actually) with the efficiency of the crew, and how well they all worked together in what must have been a very stressful situation. Their cheerful demeanor made what could have been an aggravating experience quite pleasant. To top it off, the cheese steak subs were the best we've ever had, thanks to Gage, who was on the grill!
