Read moreLinda's La Cantina Steakhouse is an Orlando institution, but I think it is time for them to realign themselves. Last night was our last visit. The previous visit was bad and I dismissed it. This visit was even worse. We were given a gift certificate and it took us two months get a reservation. Sounds good right? Busy = good food right? Check your premises. Our table in the far back on the end where they store service trays. All evening I was treated to knocking on my back as the trays were moved and replaced. We were seated next to two rows of a private party of 40! So loud that I couldn't hear my husband across the table. So much for a nice relaxing evening out. Dinner - the salad. While I did enjoy the dressing it was just too much. This is late May and the tomatoes in the salad were hard and white. Nope not eating that. The croutons are amazing though. I love a good rare steak but I've been here enough to know to ask for medium rare and the steak will come out rare. Well I order medium rare and it came out raw. Server takes my steak back to cook more and I eat my potato. Steak comes out and I know the cut edges will look over done so I cut into the big piece and it is on the more cooked side of medium rare but I'm hungry and will just eat it. Well half the steak is medium - yuck and the rest is burnt on the outside which I don't enjoy and so salty that I only eat 4 bites. I had ordered the strip steak which was a mistake since it was tough and chewy. Since my husband had eaten his fill of steak before mine came back out it was time to leave. We weren't asked how the meal was and since we had so much to take home we were asked about to go boxes. Felt sorry for the poor server with the huge party. She didn't have enough help but she handled it graciously. This large party just overwhelmed the room, I just wish they would either remodel and put in a private party room or limit the...
Read moreMy husband has been craving a great steak. He found it here grilled perfect 24oz T-Bone. Myself not being fish or steak lover ordered there Hawaiian Chicken which after two extremely salty bites told the waitress Katie it wasn't edible for me. She asked if their was anything else I declined. We both had a great salad with blue cheese dressing made In. House was good. The baked potatoes were giant & came out hot. I received credit for my chicken was billed for salad & baked potato. If it was my husband's steak I would give it a 5 star rating. I know he will want to return soon for another great steak. Think I will stick to a salad. Revisit review # We came back for my husband's birthday as he wanted a great steak last evening 8/9/23 What a terrible steak he got the med t-bone must have Been from an old steer it was so chewy. My husband's as dines thete at least 15 times & swore Linda's had the best steak. We spoke to the manager who tried to explain steak cuts to us...my husband is 76 he knows steak this one was sub-par. Yes she offered to replace it he was just over having a bad steak from what is known as a good steakhouse. I had an okay ground steak so he ate mine. We were given a small credit & a dessert which wouldn't he have recieved a dessert for his birthday anyway? In this day & age people are watching prices go up & quality slipping? It's was just so disappointing as he swore your steaks were the best. I am so happy we didn't book another reservation for out of town guest for next week with Linda's. It maybe quite awhile before we may dine with this restaurant. After two bad experiences it's hard to justify trying Linda's again. My puppy enjoyed they chewy meat we brought home so she was...
