I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND THIS FOOD TRUCK TO ANYONE. I visited this for truck with my wife and my son for the first time a couple of days ago. The pictures they post for promo outside of the truck look very nice to the point that makes you buy from them. We ordered fried pork with fried plantains because they looked so nice and delicious in the pictures they post outside of the truck. When we got the order, the fried pork and the plantains where very dark and had a strong taste to seasoning (Adobo). Immediately I went back to the food truck and complained about the color of the meat and asked for my meat to be redone with a lighter color. The lady who was cooking came to the window with a nasty attitude, took my plate, looked at it and said "that's how the fried pork looks like, that's the normal color what's the issue?". She also said that if I want my meat redone I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT BECAUSE THERE'S NOTHING SHE CAN DO. (In a intimidating and loud tone) VERY DISRESPECTFUL. I asked her why would I have to pay again when I didn't do anything wrong, she was the one who burned the food and I have to pay for her mistake. Non sense... When you own or work in this type of business you need to have good customer service and be polite so the customer experience can be improved and the people visit the business often, specially those customers who visit for the first time... You wouldn't loose much replacing the food but you loose alot when customer don't come back and don't recommend your business. I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND LUCY'S PUERTO RICAN FOOD TRUCK TO ANYONE. *BAD SERVICE* *BAD FOOD*

Lucy's Puerto Rican Kitchen has been my favorite food truck for the last few years. To start, the owner is a very kind and amazing woman. Even when she is hard at work making the best empanadas in Orlando she makes the time for a kind word or two. I love being able to call in my order and pay on CashApp. There is no wait when I arrive so I can dive right into my favorite beef and cheese empanadas. I traveled to PR in June of 2022 and of all I had eaten none could come close to Lucy's empanadas. It's a short drive from downtown Orlando. A must-stop if in the area. I'm certain everything at Lucy's is good, but her empanadas are so delicious I have not tried much else. Google for hours and location.

I first started following Lucy on her Instagram page & convinced my husband to go try her food. I was not disappointed. Her food reminded me of my Grandmas food. So delicious. Lucy was very friendly & even let us sample some other foods. I’ve now been supporting & following her business for a few months now. She came out to sell her food at an event for my business & EVERYONE loved her too! Do yourself a favor & go support this wonderful woman. She also happens to be one of the cleanest food trucks I’ve ever visited. Support local, Hispanic, women businesses!!!!

I called in order around 1230 pm from my work line. The gentleman who took my order did not speak English very well. We got through it though lol. Came to pick it up around 130 and right away I’m attacked out the window by someone speaking in Spanish that they texted me that my food was ready a while ago. I went to explaining that I did not receive any text. Again the person behind the window got very hostile stating that she did text me once in Spanish and once in English. I tried to explain to her that it was a land line she had texted, but I couldn’t get a work in because she wouldn’t let me. We moved on. When they told me my total was $25, I asked why. Again the gentleman that does not speak English try to explain to me in Spanish the order. The lady that got aggravated before showed her aggressive behavior again and told him to explain this to me in English. When he finished explaining to me my order I told him that was wrong. That I ordered shrimpand tostones for $7 and not the $15 meal one. So therefore the order was taken wrong from the beginning. The aggravated lady behind the window got even more aggravated and stated you need to correct for the next time you make an order to say à la Carte because if not it automatically will be put in as a meal. I then asked how would we fix this because I did not want the meal, I wanted the smaller order. She then goes and tells me that I have to pay the full $25 if I want this or if not she would have to make the correct order and the money will come out of her pocket. I then got upset and left the food there. I will make sure to never, or any of my friends ,ever go to this place. And what’s sad is the food is probably AMAZING being that fact that all this passion and feelings are coming from behind that window with the cook....

UPDATE

Im Changing my rating in my review because truly their food is delicious and they are amazing I guess that day I was feeling a little bit frustrated and hangry lol and I didn’t know that they had a website where they had on the updates and give us an update when they’re closed or when they’re busy so that was my fault and I shouldn’t have assumed that they didn’t want to answer the phone and that the reason they weren’t answering my calls was because they were closed!! So make sure you stop by and go see them. The food is delicious you won’t be disappointed!!

I either have to call for 10-20 mins before anyone answers or order at the window and have to wait. It’s not only once that’s happened but various, too many actually. Just don’t want to waste so much time. Rather start looking for somewhere else. If you don’t mind that issue then go to them because he food is good. That’s just my only issue. Owner is...
