The service we received was almost comically bad. It was 2 pm the day after Memorial Day, so maybe there were some lingering holiday issues, but there was only one server and he was so bad we wondered if he was either on drugs or had seriously debilitating memory issues. The four tables near us had conversations with each other about how bad it was. He had to come back retake all of our tables orders because he forgot to ring them in. He brought tables the wrong drinks over and over again and brought people the complete wrong food and drinks over and over again even after writing it down 3-5 times per table. He seemed genuinely confused. We both had the salad bar with a side of meat. He forgot plates for the salad bar after we asked nicely 3 times. He had to ask us what we ordered 4 times and went to the computer and it looked like he rang it in but then it still didn’t come. My side of meat was supposed to be pulled pork, but when he finally brought it is was beef. I just ate it because it was a miracle he finally brought it. The meat was fine. Maybe a little dry. The salad bar was great and the iced tea was fresh brewed. When it came time to pay the check, I had to ask him for it literally 7 times and each time he would go and ring it I. The computer again and still come back and ask if we needed anything and I would have to ask for the check. The third time he said he would discount it for the wait, but I think he forgot and on the 7th time when he finally brought it, I just paid it when though there wasn’t a discount. For 2 salad bars, two sides of meat, and two iced teas it was $45. On the way out one couple ask if the women who cashed us out was a manger and mentioned that the waiter was the worst of any dining experience she had ever had and thought he should go home. The cashier said she wasn’t a manager or wait staff even though she was trying to help as back up because she knew service was really bad at that time. I asked if there was a manger we could speak to and she said the one waiter was the manger on duty. She apologized and said she was trying to get more help to come in but didn’t know what to do. I can’t imagine I would ever come back here again. There are a lot of restaurants in this area, so I would recommend going...
Read moreMy husband and I are frequent customers at the Dustins in Edgewater, FL, which is always consistent, delicious hot food with great service. Today we were up in the Ormond Beach area so we decided to try to Dustin’s up here. Our server had two other small tables, she didn’t approach us for about 5 minutes and when she finally came over she said she didn’t see us and made an excuse about how busy she was. So we proceeded to order. The okra appetizer was great (delivered by another server) and then our food came out which was also delivered by a different server.. I ordered the beans and franks / my hot dog was cold and my French fries were cold as well. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and coleslaw, which he said was hot. Not once did our server ask us how our food was, fill our drinks, or come to check on us. When she did finally walk over she dropped our check off - we asked for to go drinks and a to go box. She then had a different server bring us to go drinks and failed to bring a to go box. We sat for about 5 more minutes thinking she’d bring it over and she never did. when we went to pay the check the girl at the counter asked how our dinner was, my husband told her that we weren’t pleased and we’ve had better at their other location. She didn’t say one word back to us or apologize. We were very disappointed. Not only was the service bad but the food was not up to quality. We will not be going back to...
Read moreVisited this place for the first time today. I did not see a sign saying "seat yourself" but after standing there for a while I interrupted 2 servers talking and they told me to seat ourselves. I we ordered sweet tea because it is a BBQ establishment and should have great tea! The tea was old but so watered down you could hardly tell. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich ("extra jumbo" for $2 more dollars) on garlic toast with beans. for a $12 sandwich I was very disappointed. The toast was such a weird elongated shape being mostly crust. The pulled pork was so hot and dry it seemed to be heated in a microwave. The beans (very small portion in a sauce cup) only took two bites before I knew something was not right, odd taste. I also purchased the salad bar, huge disappointment also. Coleslaw was drowning in watery fluid and seemed to be premade. The macaroni salad and potato salad was just as bad. I came here ready for some great barbq and amazing sweet tea but was let down. The only reason I gave two stars is because the waitress was nice. I would recommend trying a different bbq place if you want freshly made juicy meat, great sides, and perfect sweet tea! This place sadly missed the mark completely when we came...
