I like this cafe. It reminds me of the cafes where I grew up on the coast of New Jersey in the 80's. Checkered tablecloths, booths and tables, lots of colorful artwork on the wall for sale. The owner is at the grill making everything she cooks by hand, with love, everything. No heat and eat corporate food here. No mishegaas. It smells delightful inside because the grill is within view of the tables. Love that. The owner's daughter frequently waitresses and can tell you where everything is in Ormond. Very fair prices, nice and clean. A delicious place to eat and it provides a touch of nostalgia for Jersey transplants.

Ive come here several times. Everything is always fresh and hot and delicious. Today I was thrilled to learn they would make me an egg white omlette I got the Spanish one. It was delicious with a whole wheat toast choice and some awesome grits. So happy to know they have healthy choices! I also LOVE the bisquits and sausage gravy here and the house special with a great variety. . The server is a sweet lady and always fast great service. 10/10 reccomend!

It was great! We headed there after the more beach side, touristy breakfast place had too much of a wait. The Swiss mushroom omelet was the best ever! Kids loved their chocolate chip pancakes, hubby finished his Granada slam breakfast 100%. The 3 staff are hard working, will return next visit! We hated every bit of it! Just kidding. ;)

I went with a friend who raved about this small mom and pop restaurant. We arrived around 11:15, and although the place wasn't busy, there were several empty tables with dirty plates left on them. The waitress cleared them off, when I suggested we find a clean table at which to sit. I had planned to order breakfast, but my friend said she loved the egg salad on a previous visit. Since I hadn't had it in a long time and it was made to order (I don't like onions, which are often included), I decided to go with that. The minute I picked up the sandwich, the egg salad started oozing out of the thin wheat bread. I ended up using a fork for a lot of it. Whenever I picked it up with my hands, they got all messed up and I had to ask for another napkin. It was that sloppy. I chose French Fries as my side, and expected nice, fat, fries. However, they were shoestring fries, which like the bread, were thin. I was still hungry when I left, since I had been expecting more of a meal and didn't eat breakfast. When I went to pay the bill, I had to wait for the waitress to come up to take the money. There was a woman sitting behind the counter, but she was busy reading her e-book and didn't look up. It seems the waitress does it all over there! Since my friend lives in the area and likes the place, I will probably be back. If and when that happens, I will be sure to order breakfast with a couple of sides to hold me over. If it were up to me, I would not return. There are better places to get...

My son and I sat and waited literally for almost 30 minutes for French toast they bring out my son's food hes eating it I'm still waiting on mine restaurant was not that busy I've been in the restaurant business for 11 years for 11 years never have I seen a place ran like this my son halfway through his French toast well I'm still waiting on mine of course we find an extremely long hair that had to have been in the batter disgusting plus the waitress not sure if it's a man or a woman needs to Maybe tone down them Make up a bit and dress the part we're not at a fashion show or a drag show and the customer service politeness was non existent and I was extremely patient until I found that hair in my son's Food the owner was sitting directly behind us and could have cared less about the hair or how long it was taken I also saw other people get up and leave because of the length of time it was taking perhaps it's because they have grandma cooking for an entire restaurant this place is disgusting they should not even be open and I'm not sure if they've even cleared the health board cause the woman cooking had to have been in her eighties no haircut no gloves I didn't even see a sink for her to...

I'm so surprised this place has anything near 5 stars. We walked in, and there was a booth open, we sat and weren't even acknowledged for about 10 minutes. She finally came over instead of grabbing a drink order or dropping menus, just asked if I was having coffee, I said no, and she just ran away. No silverware or napkins or menus. We didn't even get a drink after we ordered them until 15 minutes after. The place wasn't even busy. We sat down at 11:38am and just got our food at 12:41pm. To say we will never be back is an understatement. Food: Cheese grits are just grits with a folded up piece of American cheese on top. It's not melted or anything, just a cold piece of cheese. The plates were ice cold with warm food on them. Kids got mickey mouse pancakes with bacon. They said it tasted good. But after an hour, they were ready to go. I left hungry and upset. 3 other tables sat the same amount. I ordered French toast eggs and grits. Nothing crazy. NOT WORTH...
