Worst experience. Had to clean own table to be seated. Had to ask twice and wait 15 minutes for a warm beer in a bottle that didn't come with a glass. My food came 15 minutes before my wife's food. Her "Sushi" was made so sloppy that it fell apart. Menu is questionable authenticity, and rather disrespectful to my Japanese heritage. The quality of Japanese food is worst I have ever had. The price charged for instant food is ridiculous... Every food on the menu is easy food that are 80% pre made, and could be purchased at the local store. The cook simply use that and put own arrangement, and a terrible one at that. Most drink menu saids "saki" but they actually mean "sake"... Just terrible, if I wanted to be treated like an unwelcomed ignorant person, I'd go back there, but absolutely everything at this place were terrible. Price is absolutely questionable. They charge a lot for a sloppy pile of mess. I guess quantity is good, but when Yakisoba is glazed in oil, or have a palm size rubber like meat, you know you are eating food the chef don't even know what he is making). I would never pay that much for Yakisoba Japan, especially when it's disgusting like that. That wasn't Yakisoba...
(Side note, I do not know why the Vietnamese owner decided to make a terrible Japanese food... Knowing both cultures and cuisines, I love Vietnamese food. But he instead made many disgusting and sloppy food from his imagination. And why does a Sushi place have Chinese menu??? And other customers think it's authentic, because the owner seems "Asian"... If you like this place, then you absolutely don't care or don't question anything about your food, it service. Because this place charges you a lot for not...
Read moreI don't know what happened, from the moment sushi valley opened I have been one of their most loyal customers. Ordering out or eating in at least 3x a month. I have always had amazing experiences here, except today. I ordered for delivery, and although the menu online mentioned that you'll get meso, salad, and rice with your order. I was charged extra for my rice, meso, and salad. Which i dont find a problem because i enjoy supporting my local restaurants that i enjoy. So as long as the money is going to support them then no worries. But they should update there website. My disappointing moment was when i took my first sushi and attempted to devoure it, i was so sad. The sushi had no flavor: ( it was blan) needed a lot of soy sauce. I hate using soy sauce. Pushed the sushi away and decided to eat my yummy chicken lo-maine..... Not so yummy. Chicken was super dry. Noodles when a little to over cooked. So I frowned pushed the noodles away and opened my salad. Boy was i happy that it was still delicious! Last and least. My meso soup. This is where my heart broke. I loved their meso. It was like a yummy dream in an ocean paradise. We'll im sad to announce, that is no longer thw case. My meso had no flavor. No fish flavor at all. No saltiness, no seaweed, very little tofu. My heart is broken. If they hired new people they need the old onea back. If they changed the recipe they need to go...
Read moreI’ve been here twice, once for dine-in, another take-out. My dine-in experience was ok, but I wasn’t impressed with quality for price. I’ve been to lots of sushi places all over town and in other states/cities and have tried lots of Vegas rolls. Never have I paid more than $11 for a Vegas roll (usually they’re right around $10). I figured they must just be amazing, but honestly not a memorable roll, especially not for being higher priced than any other sushi place in town.
That is not my reasoning for 2 stars. My reasoning is because of my take-out experience. I actually didn’t order the take-out, my friend did for me. An amazing gesture on her part, this restaurant messed up. It seems like common sense to me to not combine raw sushi with cooked/deep fried sushi. My nigiri was in the same box rolling around with my Vegas roll. I live very close to the restaurant, but by the time it arrived, the nigiri was warm and the box was full of condensation from the warm roll (normal for that one, but for the nigiri to be exposed to it- yikes). The whole thing just screams foodborne pathogens to me, by letting the raw sushi become warm and damp in a sealed box. The least they could have done was separate the two?? I will not be taking my chances on the raw roll. Very...
