INAPTITUDE GALORE!!! If I could give a zero star I would. I have NEVER dealt with a more INCOMPETENT entity in my life!!! I’ve spent around $400 or so in the last year alone (gift cards that had to be used and other, non-gift card purchases), so at about $10-$20 at a time, it should give you an idea of how many times I’ve been to the Oro Valley Panera location. I am NOT exaggerating when I tell you that they managed to mess up my orders at least 90% of the time! They always finger-point and blame one another for their collective incompetence. I’ve had managers call and apologize and while they were nice, I’d just rather not have my time wasted by being inconvenienced time and time again by having partial, failed, messed up, or entirely missing orders after being charged (or when paying at the cash register, too), not to mention my wasted time it takes to place the order and drive to and from the store. Why bother asking for consumers’ phone numbers if you don’t as much as try to give them a courtesy call to warn them about your mess-up?! No, I guess it makes more sense to have them drive all the way to your store, stand in line while others ahead of you are helped at a snail’s pace and then get the slap in the face to be told that some incompetent employee gave your order away because you didn’t show up at the EXACT estimated pick-up time they asked for you to provide when you placed the order!! I mean if your policy is such that one MUST show at the exact guesstimated pick-up time then why don’t you INFORM your customers at the time they place their order?! FURTHERMORE, why not CALL your customer to see if they might have had an emergency or unpreventable situation delaying them (which in my case, I did) and THEN you can make a decision whether you want to INSULT them by giving their order away! MOREOVER, why not take a look through their rewards history to see how much money they have spent in your store and how many times have they failed (ZERO) to show up for their order?! So, I AM DONE with this place! While I do like a handful of items, it is NOT WORTH THE AGGRAVATION by the majority of workers at this place that should not be employed in the service industry, which should still require some attention to detail and common sense, don’t you think?! And BTW, it doesn’t matter whether you place your order online (they disregard the special instructions section entirely), rapid pick-up or regular or whether you call to speak with a store employee to place your order, the only talent they seem to have is to consistently mess up regardless how or what you order (I know it’s hard to believe, but they’ve managed to mess up at least a dozen times even when only ordering a loaf of bread!!! How do you manage to do that? How do you thin slice vs thick slice? How do you place a partial loaf in the bag and when questioned about it, you give an absurd reply that only the ends are missing because some people may not like the ends? How do you place the wrong loaf in the bag? How do you sell and charge for a loaf when you’re out of it? And how do you sometimes say “we’re out, oh never mind, I FOUND one; etc, etc)? After having given this place so many “second chances” that I stopped counting, I know I will save myself any continued aggravation by no longer shopping there. Save your valuable time and...
Read morePanera is not what it use to be. I have said this for the last few years. It never fails they are either out of something or mess things up. And it’s not just at this location it’s in several states we have noticed. Today was the final straw for me. I wanted the strawberry poppyseed chicken salsa but they did not have the lettuce that is advertised to make it. (I get there can be delivery issues or industry problems) it seems there is ALWAYS something when going here. I told my kids to enjoy their $6.39 cent bowls each of chicken soup because it was to be their last ever at Panera, because we are done. I had to heat my daughters soup up because it was luke warm at best. I also told them we could get one of their favorite cookies, the sandal cookies (they change for every season) but they looked awful and burnt! The shift manager told me that she felt the icing was a mess but that they were not burnt. Their district manager was just in and mentioned the icing was an issue as well but never said anything about them being burnt ...well there ya go it starts at the top!!! They should be light and fluffy not flat and dark brown!!! Not to mention at the cost they charge they better be perfect!! Ugh...good luck because if they keep going the way they are they will not be around for much longer. So...
Read moreNobody greeted me when I came in. When I stood at the counter there was a staff member wiping down the bakery section never said a word to me. Cashier never said a word even when I stood in front of him. Cashier must've been special needs which he should not have been at the front counter. He got my bagels stuck in the cutter and imperfect still gave them to me in one single bread plastic bag and handed it to me did not put it in a brown Panera bread bag. Placed my receipt on the counter and walked away. On top of that what I was looking for was not in stock. I was looking for fresh raisin bread since it is a bakery that sells bread and there wasn't any. This was my first time in years and I am a member and stop coming for the quality and now this. This has ruined my energy for the day I can't shake it. This is the second time and if you're ordering you can literally stand at the back pick up counter and they will not say be right with you, what's your order nothing. It took 30 mins last time for them to toast my bagel. It's too expesive for this poor quailty and mistreatement. I will...
