Olga's Kitchen — Restaurant in Oshtemo Charter Township

I was born and raised in Kalamazoo been gone since 1991 but I still have family here. When I come home to visit I always have to have one. They used to only have a location in the crossroads mall, however I see that now they have a bigger location on Drake road. They have many other options now but I love the fresh lamb meat ORIGINAL Olga. I always get this with extra meat the "open face" with the 3 cheese. The bread wrap is a die for. The wrap is tender with a hint of sweet flavor. People see it and like oh it's a Gyro😯 and I have to correct them.. the gyro has no comparison and the sauce is so good. I also love the salad. Extra sauce ..extra dressing .. and extra feta cheese me please. My last visit was over my 2 week visit for the Christmas Holiday and I had to go 3 times😋. The customer service is normally great however the last of 3 visits I had an employee tell me I had to pay extra for the white sauce, feta cheese and dressing for salad and when I questioned why when the last 2 visits I wasnt.Then it was offered free of charge🤷🏾‍♀️ I'm like the prices here have already gone up tremendously. Today was our first time trying Olga's, and might be our last try. We were there on a busy Friday lunch hour, and waited 15-20 minutes to be seated. We had chosen our beverage (water) and our menu selection before our waitress arrived. We ordered everything right then (so far, so good), and then proceeded to wait almost 40 minutes to get our meals (just an original Olga's with fries, and a fried chicken sandwich). Some of the people seated around us who came in after us received there food much earlier than we did. Our waitress was very pleasant, but quickly dropped off our food, and never returned until we were ready to go. She never asked us how our food was during the entire stay. Our sandwiches were OK (the chicken sandwich was overdone), but the fries were some of the worst we've ever had. They were not warm, and for some reason, they were tough and hard to chew (reheated?). Very disappointed. The venue is nice, but needs a definite upgrade it they expect to stay...
