Went for our anniversary dinner. Not sure what to expect asthenic wise, but it’s kitschy and relaxed. We order the supper club, which was a 3 course pre-determined meal with a fish or meat option. I did the Greek ribeye and my wife the blackened walleye.
The food was amazing. The steak was really good, but let’s face it, a good steak is a dime a dozen. What set it apart were the sides; best sweet potato I’ve ever had in my life. I actually ate most of the skin too (no shame in this game). The brussel sprouts were too notch. My wife loved her walleye and side also.
Monti behind the bar is great. Knowledgeable, attentive, and fun. Cocktails are first rate.
This is a hidden gem and we will be back to try some of the normal menu Mediterranean fare. Also bring cash, no card accepted (they have an ATM too)
UPDATE: As if it could even be better than before; this may be one of the best places I’ve ever eaten at 😳 ….and it’s here in Ottawa.

Read moreStopped in for lunch on a Tuesday on the way home from GR. Good eats, for sure. Well worth it to enjoy some really great food. The owner—a really cool and casual welcoming guy—worked the bar and restaurant—taking some time to pop in the kitchen to grind some fresh beans for falafel. The Harissa chicken with saffron rice and slaw was sweet with a touch of spice—so flavorful. Nice spice with a touch of smokiness to the Harissa chicken. The hummus is quite good with the nice toasty, but tender grilled pita bread. Outdoorsy, artsy, funky decor. Well worth venturing off I-80 on your road trip. Note: The entrance is located in the outdoor seating area. I usually add photos—but we were super hungry. Photos posted here on google capture their...
