Burg & Barrel - Overland Park — Restaurant in Overland Park

We went to the Overland Park location yesterday, 5/24, with a group of nine people that included a person in a wheelchair. When we walked in we were seated at a long low top table by the greeter and then less than two minutes later a man we assumed was the manager asked us if we had seated ourselves or if someone had sent us there. Normally it would be a great question but he was so unbelievably rude and aggressive in his tone and demeanor that I couldn't believe it.

My wife told him that someone had seated us there, and in the same rude and aggressive tone he told us the table was reserved for someone else at 6:00. We told him that wasn't a problem and asked if we could be sat elsewhere. He waved his hand at a back corner of the restaurant which had only high top tables and told us we could sit there "I guess". My wife told him again that we had a party in a wheelchair so we needed a low top table and the high tops would not work for our party. He rolled his eyes, and sighed while telling her that they didn't have anything else that would work for us so we just needed to leave. My brother-in-law asked about the low top tables against a window and asked if we could put them together to make a long table like the one in the middle of the restaurant and the manager aggressively told him that he could not due to fire code and we should just leave.

To clarify, they were not busy at all. There were a couple of tables outside that were occupied and just a couple of tables inside that were occupied. There were multiple different ways they could have accommodated our group with the wheelchair instead of the manager rolling his eyes when we told him we needed low tops to accommodate someone with disabilities.

The manager was the rudest, most condescending person I've ever come across in a restaurant. This is is the worst I have ever been treated in a restaurant in the Kansas City area and I will do my best to avoid anything related to...

I have been wanting to eat and drink at the Burg and Barrel for a few years now, but it never seems to happen. I am so sorry that it has taken this long to find out how awesome this place is.

If you are a beer lover (and I am), look no further. They have one of the best draft beer selections I have ever seen. The fact that it rotates as often as it does is amazing. I love trying out new microbrews, and this place is amazing for doing that!

I love burgers as much as I love my brew, so I am pretty darn picky about my burgers. This stacks up, or is the top burger I have had in a very long time! The patty was cooked to perfection, and the bun was the BEST bun I have ever had. The cajun tots (just a few bucks more) are well worth EVERY dime!

The ambiance in this place is awesome. It made me feel like I was back in NYC again, but without the noise, crime, or prices! It has that "Cellar" feel that I so miss from my days in New York.

The service was top notch. Our service was fast (but we never felt rushed), friendly, and just a fun server. I will not go back to a LOT of places that have great food, because of bad service. That is not a problem here. Everyone from the bartender, to our server, to the owner could not have been nicer.

Im sorry that I haven't been here sooner, as I will be moving soon. Rest assured whenever I am back in the area, I will return...

Terrible experience... I'm visiting from out of town on a trip with my 10yo son for his BDAY who enjoys BBQ & the Chiefs (we went to the game at the stadium yesterday) ... Stopped at a BBQ joint next door that closed at 9... Wanted to watch the rest of the Monday night football game and get a beer.

We had a takeout bag with us from the BBQ spot...

They asked my son and I to leave because we had a takeout bag with us (which also had clothing/hat/souvenirs from the BBQ spot)

Completely unacceptable....

We did not attempt to open the bag or even consider eating the food (we were full....it was leftovers for the next day) I own a BBQ business in PA and would not do that.

The place wasn't full either, it wasn't like they needed table space because it was busy.... We're tourists from out of town and were ubering from BBQ restaurants and fun attractions like BRKTHROUGH etc....

I don't normally leave bad reviews for businesses online, but I was IRATE after being treated that way.... What a joke.... Kicking a 10yo kid and their dad out of a restaurant into the cold to wait for an Uber because we had a takeout bag...

Restaurants we visited in the 2 days we were here and I'd recommend beside this place:
