I hate giving this place a low review because it implies that everything is bad, and that isn’t the case.
The Good: I really like the afternoon and evening employees. They’re always nice and provide great and timely service. Never have any issues, no notes, keep it up.
The Bad: The morning crew. It didn’t used to be this way, but anytime I come through in the morning, it’s a crapshoot whether or not I’ll get what I ordered, or if they’ll even be open at the proper time. One guy refused to use a headset for a while and made people order at the window. That seems to have stopped now, but it was weird. One time I came through and was overcharged for a medium drink. It’s usually 6.58 but I was charged 7.70. Brought it up to an afternoon guy who said he’d look into it. Not sure what happened, but that felt really bad. This morning I stopped in around 6:15am; they open at 6am allegedly. I sat at the drive-thru box for several minutes and wasn’t helped. Went to the window and the lights were on, but I didn’t see any workers. I drove around to the front thinking I was mistaken about the opening time. Right on the door it sat it opens at 6am. I saw two people inside working. I figured maybe it was an honest mistake so I went back around to the drive through, sat there for another few minutes being ignored, pulled up to the window, and suddenly all the lights were off. This leads me to believe that they were purposely trying to avoid me.
Idk what’s going on at this place, but the morning crew needs a coming-to-Jesus meeting, or a complete overhaul because they’re not doing a good job. That’s crazy to me because the afternoon people are mostly teenagers. You know it’s bad when the teens are doing a better job...
Read moreI don’t like using the word mediocre or giving less than average reviews, but Caribou’s coffee and service simply that—mediocre—quite consistently. My experience is based mostly from the drive-thru window. I can think of one time when I thought the coffee was made correctly and felt I got my money’s worth. The other 98% of the time it’s bland, not having the proper amounts of sweetener, cream, and extremely bitter (non-fresh tasting), etc. This morning after purchasing an iced coffee, I finally decided to post a review. I usually go to Starbucks but the line is out to the road on Saturdays. I can steadily say I’m disappointed every time with Caribou, and I wouldn’t bother letting Caribou know this for various reasons. Attached is a photo of a large coffee and what you can get in a 'Trenta' cup for 9 cents more at Starbucks—and it tastes multiple times better, or it’s free. Most of what you can see from the photo is a cup of ice with very little coffee. The sweetener tasted like someone used stevia or something overly artificial. Can’t say I have much experience inside. I used to like their lattes but they do not have iced coffee down very well. Google needs to implement half-star ratings, but I've given...
Read moreThis was a convienient stop for us, however the coffee and experience was less then desired. I started asking the lady taking my order what her largest iced size was, she replied that it was an extra large. I asked her how many ounces that was and she said she wasn’t sure then to place my order for an extra large white chocolate hazelnut quad shot breve, iced. I pulled around to the window and Paid over eight dollars for a drink that didn’t look right. I kept hearing her tell the kid making it that it was a mocha- and then I asked if she got the breve part and she had no idea what that meant. I got my coffee and confirmed there was 4 shots of espresso because it was very light. The kid asked me “4 shots of caffeine?” I reiterated espresso. There was not. The coffee was very weak, the staff was not knowledgeable and even when getting my order wrong there was no attempt to fix it. I...
