Whenever my family and I come back to Kansas City, we stay at the hotel across the street. As a result, this McDonald's is very close and potentially very convenient. My experience has shown me, after a couple of years, just go somewhere else.
That is because this McDonald's is terribly slow. The drive-thru line is absolutely geologic in terms of how slowly they process customers and their orders.
Add to this the fact that when they do finally bring your food out to the parking spot where you are waiting, they decide to give one or two packets of sauce, the wrong sauces because the one that they offered (which I accepted) had ruin out, for a 10 chicken tender meal. They also felt that one napkin would suffice.
Of course, the manager was not the one to bring my order out to me, even though he was the one that took my order. Instead, he ran out some poor teenager that had no idea of how long I was waiting, or how many things wrong with the order.
This was just my last attempt with this location. Because of the convenience of their location, I tried them three times during this trip alone. I have visited with my family 3 other times this year and more last year.
Because I have two small kids, and one of them adores McDonald's chicken nuggets, I am at McDonald's fairly regularly across the nation.
I do not understand why chicken tenders at this location require 10 minutes, and for me to pull forward into a parking spot, to be forgotten.
It seems that the Phoenix, Maryland, Chicago, and other locations seem to be able how to make chicken tenders in a reasonable amount of time AND get the rest of the order right.
In fact, when I take business trips everywhere in the country, it seems that they manage to provide a high standard of basic service. This is what McDonald's does well.
What McDonald's purports to be able to do is to provide a reasonable level of food, on a budget, quickly. I am not expecting Fleming's. I'm expecting alacrity, not to be food poisoned, and reasonable prices.
This location was renovated late 2017, as a result, it is pretty clean and new looking.
I do not care about that however in this case.
The bottom line is that they are slow and don't take any responsibility for getting customer...

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This morning, I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit meal with a round egg instead of folded, plus coffee. What I got instead was an overpriced, incorrect, and completely unacceptable meal, paired with some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
Let’s break it down: Overcharged at the First Window – My total was $12 instead of the meal price. The employee couldn’t tell me why (language barrier), but when I checked, they had charged me separately for a Sausage Egg & Cheese Biscuit, an Egg McMuffin (which I never ordered), and coffee—all à la carte. Rude Manager at the Second Window – I politely explained that I ordered a meal, not individual items, and that I was charged incorrectly. Instead of fixing it, the manager was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. She refunded me for the Egg McMuffin but didn’t correct the meal price, meaning I was still overpaying. Then, she literally threw the bag at me. No Hash Brown – Checked my bag before driving off—missing the hash brown. When I told her, she mumbled something under her breath, walked away, and handed me a cold one. The Food Itself Was Disgusting – • The egg was wrong—I specifically asked for a round egg, and they gave me folded instead. • The biscuit was hard as a rock—clearly old and barely edible. • There was debris in my wrapper—which is just nasty. • The egg looked old and dried out, making me question their food safety.
I was already late for work dealing with all of this, and to top it off, the food was so badly made and unappetizing that I ended up throwing it away.
McDonald’s, get it together. If your employees can’t take a basic order correctly, don’t know how to charge for a meal, and treat customers like a nuisance, then they need better training—or a different job. Absolutely...
Read moreUpon entering the hallowed halls of McDonald's, one is immediately struck by the ambiance of efficiency, with a hint of nostalgia that only a global fast-food icon can provide. The decor, a blend of primary colors and sleek, modern lines, presents a stark contrast to the more traditional establishments one might frequent in the realm of fine dining.
The menu, while not extensive, boasts an array of options that cater to a wide range of palates. The pièce de résistance, of course, is the Big Mac – a towering testament to the art of simplicity. Its sesame seed-studded bun cradles two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions, all harmoniously layered to create a symphony of flavors.
The Quarter Pounder with Cheese, a nod to the indulgent side of life, showcases a juicy patty, perfectly charred and topped with molten cheddar. The fries, a golden accompaniment, are crisp and salted to perfection, while the apple pie provides a sweet, nostalgic finish.
Service at this establishment is prompt, though one must be prepared to forgo the usual tableside etiquette. Instead, patrons are invited to partake in the self-service ritual of ordering at the counter and finding their own seating. It's a testament to the democratization of dining, where all are equal in their pursuit of fast, satisfying fare.
In conclusion, McDonald's may not be haute cuisine, but it delivers a consistent and comforting experience that has resonated with millions across the globe. It is an institution that stands as a reminder that dining need not always be a grand affair; sometimes, a humble hamburger can be just as satisfying as the most...
