Loyal Papa John’s customer, super disappointed. I contemplated between a Domino’s, Sarpino’s, and Papa John’s pizza for tonight and ultimately went with Papa John’s because I figured the price would at least get me a reliable quality of pizza. I’ve been ordering Larges but ordered an XL since I could upgrade for a small fee, of which I’ve done before and it was totally fine. Tonight, my pizza got delivered and it was as thin as paper and the crust was rock hard – I figured they made me a thin crust pizza by mistake. I called the store to see if they could do something about it, even if it was store credit, because the pizza I got was not the $25 pizza I paid for. They informed me that that’s just how 16” (XL) pizzas are now. WHAT? I can normally eat 2-3 pieces of the regular Large and be full, I almost ate the entire XL pizza because that’s how much less food there is. If this is true, that’s ridiculous – who would assume getting a larger version of a pizza would be any different than the smaller version besides in size? If it’s not true, ridiculous on the store for lying/not helping. The XL used to be a literal larger version of their typical version; if the XL is now truly thin crust, it should be noted when ordering so people are aware because I would’ve definitely gone with the Large. Wow. I ordered online since I’m staying at a hotel. Never received a confirmation email so when 45 min went by with no pizza I had to call 2 stores just to figure out where the order was sent. The guy on the phone said it was a “failed online order” and that it never fully went through the online system and that it would take 35 minutes to get to me, mind you at this point I’ve already been waiting for an hour. So I asked if there was any way they could put a rush on it since I’ve already waited so long and he tells me that he hasn’t even input the order yet and that it might take some time, then proceeds to rudely tel me that if he wasn’t wasting his time on the phone with me then he could take care of it faster. Offered no solution and no compensation for the situation. I get that tech can mess things up, but take some responsibility and make your customer happy. Guess I’ll be eating at 9:00pm…

Read moreThe order was placed at 1200 for a 515 delivery. It showed up at 630pm cold. We ordered 2 pizzas and some breadsticks and they didn’t put pepperoni on a pepperoni pizza. Also missing 4 extra sauces that we bought. If I could give a zero star rating I would.
Edit: Welp that’s it for me. Hoping it was a fluke with the delivery driver I went up to pick up our next order to ensure its accuracy. The only person who seemed to be working was the manager. Everyone else was moving at a snails pace. I finally got my order about 30 minutes late. I had to ask several times if my order was ready before they realized it had already been made sitting on the counter getting cold and the quality was less than a Totino’s frozen pizza. I would’ve preferred a Totino’s.
