I hope management can find this feedback helpful, because I really do want to make this my pastry spot â and I feel many others might too. With just a bit more attention to a few things, this place could run really smoothly.
Iâve visited three times now, on different days and at different times, so I think itâs fair to share an informed perspective. Unfortunately, the customer service experience has been consistent â and not in a good way. Employees donât seem to anticipate customer needs or read cues and body language. Even when itâs busy and thereâs a line, often only one register is open while other staff gather around the coffee machine. I understand from my own experience in the food industry that sometimes thatâs all you can offer â but even a simple greeting, eye contact, or letting customers know theyâll be helped shortly can make a big difference.
On each visit, thereâs been no welcome when entering the store. Employees rarely make eye contact, and when they do, it feels disengaged. Today, for example, I was the only one at the counter while a man behind it was on the phone for about four minutes. He made eye contact several times but never once acknowledged me or said someone would be right with me. He eventually disappeared into the back. Another staff member eventually helped me, but by then I felt like I didnât matter as a customer. Meanwhile, someone else was adjusting pastries in the case without stepping in to help.
As other reviews have also pointed out, customer service is a recurring issue here. I would emphasize that the staff seems under-trained or lacking in work experience. It gives the impression that this may be a franchise or a family-funded business where friends, family, or people close to the community were hired. While that can build a sense of closeness, it can also undermine the benefits of having a more diverse staff with stronger experience and training.
Another issue I observed was outside seating. On one occasion, a family purchased a large order, ate outside, and then left behind all their drinks, trash, and mess â taking up about eight seats that couldâve been available for new customers. It would help to have a trash can outside, or at least more attention to that space so it stays welcoming.
Additionally, a couple of product-related issues stood out: ⢠The pain au chocolat didnât taste fresh, and I suspect itâs not a fast seller. To complicate things, the shop sells both âpain au chocolatâ and âchocolate croissant,â which are essentially the same pastry but presented slightly differently. This could easily confuse customers who donât know theyâre the same item. Iâd suggest choosing one name â ideally the authentic pain au chocolat â to simplify the menu and avoid duplicate products. ⢠The first time I ordered a latte with half-and-half, it came out lukewarm. Not completely cold, but cool enough to drink in one swallow. I had to ask for it to be remade, which was awkward, and Iâm sure others have had the same issue but didnât speak up. It seems baristas may be relying solely on machine settings rather than checking drink temperatures. A quick quality check before serving could prevent this.
Now, to the positives: the pastries are beautiful and taste good. The coffee is fine, but it doesnât stand out â it lacks the character, warmth, and personal touch that would make me want to recommend this shop to family or friends. Itâs hard to imagine becoming a âregularâ if the service doesnât make me feel noticed or valued.
This place has a lot of potential. With some basic customer service training, attention to product quality, and small adjustments, it could truly shine. I hope this review is taken in the constructive spirit itâs intended â because I would love to call this my go-to...
Read moreParis Baguette is a delightful blend of French-inspired bakery style and approachable, everyday comfort. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, with the aroma of fresh pastries immediately setting the tone. The display cases are beautifully arranged, showcasing a wide range of treatsâfrom flaky croissants and buttery danishes to more unique options like mochi doughnuts and cream-filled brioche.
One of the standout features is the quality and freshness of their baked goods. The breads are soft inside with a perfect crust, and the pastries are consistently light, not overly sweet, and made with attention to detail. Their signature cakes are also worth trying, especially the strawberry soft cream cakeâlight, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness.
The coffee and drinks menu complements the food well, and the service is usually quick and courteous. Whether you're stopping by for a quick breakfast, an afternoon treat, or a special-occasion cake, Paris Baguette rarely disappoints.
Overall, itâs a great place for anyone who appreciates quality baked goods in a relaxed and clean setting. A solid go-to spot for both everyday indulgence and...
Read moreVisited the Paris Baguette on a Sunday late afternoon. The line wrapped around the interior of the eating space. There's only one door in and out. Poor planning on the building design. There was little too now customer service. No one asked us if we had any questions or welcomed us to the store. The only person we talked to was the cashier. The treats were mostly worth the wait. There was a variety of treat choices. I was a little disappointed that they had one Cronut option. The Cronut Choice was a coffee cronut. It was very tasty. It would have been nice to have different options. We also got the king donut. It was very good. Could be better with dark chocolate icing on top! Several of the other options were the exact same item with different fruits on the top. There were other savory choices also. Overall it was worth it to drive 45 minutes and wait in line for 45 minutes. I hope the next time I go, I choose a time that is not so busy. I also hope that there are additional options...
