Starbucks — Restaurant in Overland Park

Usually go to drive thrus. Several times i had been asked by the drive thru window attendant/barista to either drive to the front or come in to pick up my order because staffing shortage/too many customers. Still had to wait very long time because the order would be ready, but they wouldn't give it to me even after I paid. Then when they would see me start getting peeved they would "remember" to give me the order. This also goes on at drive thru windows as well without being told to come in. Usually the staff member at window would always wait a few minutes just standing in front of window cash register while my completed and ready order is just sitting in front of them, pretending to be busy "taking orders" from supposedly non existant customers whom were behind me at drive thru when there was no one behind me. This is happening at almost all of the starbucks drive thrus I visit in the johnson county kansas metro areas. Also, they need to ensure that the lids on the cups are tightly secured to prevent burns and spillage. Yesterday got a Venti cup of hot Pike Roast in a weak paper cup that had crumpled and collapsed and all of the coffee spilled onto my apartment carpet floor. Awful management.

I came during renovations for a mobile order pickup. They had a sign on the door saying that you must come through the drive through to pickup it up.

I walked to the drive through window and asked the barista to hand me my order and she told me I had to wait in line on foot with all the other cars.

This is extremely reckless and unacceptable to make someone lineup with cars in a drive through.

I called the store and asked if they could bring out the mobile order. They said they wouldn’t be bringing orders out and that I shouldn’t go through the drive through either despite the instructions posted at the door and given by the barista. Instead, I should call corporate for a refund on my order.

The drive thru is not for pedestrians. Given how many children and teenagers visit Starbucks, this is an awful and dangerous practice for all guests. If you’re not able to offer mobile orders, then turn this...
