I remember my first year running a business. We botched something for a customer and there was going to be a delay in filling the order. I remember offering him a free product as an apology. Something in the price range of $15-$25 on a $99 order. He wanted the $35 item. I remember saying "I cant do that." The cost was much higher. He was not happy. Not angry, not unreasonable, which is great. It kept everyone civil. But he said something I appreciated. He said I was making light of how little a difference I was valuing his business with us. After some thought, I deduced the same thing. Give this guy his $10 extra, and win his business. Obviously if he does it every time, that's not a customer we want. But he didn't, and it was a good decision.
Fast forward. Wendy's is out of stock on something I paid for. This happened once before at Wendy's in Olathe on Harrison, and they delivered big-time. They straight up offered me any substitution. It was great. But here today, I was told those special words. "I can't do that." I asked for a basic sub, not what I got last time. But that didn’t matter to the manager. At first he wasn't going to do anything. Like it was my fault for ordering it and then he actually went to trying to suggest I was petty for asking for a sub on a fast food item he said was like $.50. (Maybe $1 everywhere online). Apparently it's happening everywhere all the time because Wendy's is cutting the meal and most customers don't care because it's so worthless. I really didn't want to argue over a fast food item. I took his best offer, which was a small refund for $1, which is probably fair, or close to it price wise. And I'm appreciative he did that, since at first I was just out of luck. Too bad I paid for it, like I'm the sucker. Lol.
However, I would like to pass this business wisdom on, because I don't think I'll be back here. And I frequent Wendy's weekly. Who knows with time, but for now, no. Yeah, no, a $1 food item isn't harming me or something. I am just more realizing that he thought I wasn't worth the food item. So I'm just gonna quietly and kindly suggest a customer is worth more than a few bucks and go elsewhere. The food cost of anything I suggested is under $1 anyway. I ended up ordering another item too, to eat enough. So I guess he got me.
Store wasn't as clean as in the past, and for some reason it was super slick and wet in the entryway. Almost like an oil or detergent was spilled. That's not good. I mean, really, I almost fell on the way in. Food was okay. Like normal. Just the service.
Why eat someplace you're not worth a few bucks, when you can eat some place you are? That's all. No worries. I wish the crew and...

Review:
I recently had the pleasure of indulging in the mouthwatering Baconator Burger at Wendy's, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight from start to finish. This burger is an amalgamation of impeccable flavors, showcasing the perfect balance of bacon, meat, and condiments that left me craving more.
Let's start with the star of the show: the bacon. Cooked to crispy perfection, the bacon added a delightful smoky and salty flavor that complemented the juicy beef patty exceptionally well. Each bite was an explosion of savory goodness that made me appreciate the art of bacon-making even more.
Speaking of the beef patty, it was undoubtedly the highlight of the burger. Juicy, succulent, and full of flavor, the generous portion of meat was a testament to Wendy's commitment to quality. It was expertly seasoned and cooked to perfection, providing a satisfying and memorable burger experience.
To accompany my Baconator Burger, I opted for a side of perfectly cooked fries. Each fry was golden-brown, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. They were seasoned just right, adding an addictive savory element to my meal. It's safe to say that Wendy's knows how to deliver on their fry game.
Now, let's talk about the refreshing beverage that completed my meal, the delightful Dr Pepper. As I took my first sip, I felt a rush of excitement. Not only was it perfectly chilled, but the carbonation had just the right amount of bubbles to add a delightful effervescence to my dining experience. It was the ideal accompaniment to my delicious Baconator Burger.
As if the Baconator Burger and the fries weren't enough, I also ordered the $5 Biggie Meal for my wife, and it turned out to be a marvelous decision. The chicken nuggets were crispy, tender, and flavorful, leaving her in awe of the quality. The accompanying barbecue sauce was a tangy masterpiece, adding a delicious zing to each bite. Needless to say, my wife fell madly in love with me all over again, thanks to Wendy's incredible chicken nuggets and barbecue sauce.
In conclusion, the Baconator Burger at Wendy's is a true culinary masterpiece. From the heavenly combination of bacon and meat to the perfectly cooked fries and delightful Dr Pepper, every element of this meal exceeded my expectations. And let's not forget the $5 Biggie Meal, which left my wife enamored with its scrumptious chicken nuggets and delicious barbecue sauce. If you're in search of a burger experience that will leave you satisfied and smiling, head to Wendy's and savor the deliciousness that is the...
Read moreAnother irritating experience: Time to avoid this place again (most likely forever). I can't even get served this time; I stood in front of the register waiting to order. 4 employees in the kitchen, one of them just looked at me and then went back to doing whatever, the rest apparently just don't care about being alert for customers at all. I just walked out after it was apparent that the company doesn't want my money.
Updated. I gave this place another chance. Bad mistake. 02/21/2021, I got the '2 for $5' in the drive thru; burger and a chicken sandwich. I got to work to eat, opened up the burger wrapper to find a long dark hair sticking out of the side of the burger. I immediately drove back and went inside to get a refund. I had to wait for the manager at the counter to get a refund because she was the only one I could see making food, four other employees literally just standing around; one on his phone. The manager asked for my receipt but I pointed to the two employees behind her and told her they never gave me one. Eventually got my money back, but nasty food and bad customer service.
Sunday night, Nov 8, 2020, I tried ordering the '2 for $5' option listed on the drive-thru menu; which was also referenced by the large banner hanging on the side of the building. The employee told me that promotion didn't start until tomorrow and I couldn't order at that price, I told him it was on the menu but I was just met with silence. I immediately left without ordering any food through the extra lane.
The same night, I used the text contact number on the Wendy's website to tell them what happened. The next afternoon I received a text back from them, "Thank you for contacting the Wendy's Customer Care Team. This text session has ended. Have a great day!". They never even acknowledged or addressed the issue without brushing me off! Right after receiving that text, I used the website again to fill out the longer contact form with the original issue and the issue with being brushed off through text. That was Monday, still no response as of today.
Pre-Covid, the last time I tried dining in, I had to ask for a refund because I had been waiting about 15 minutes for a simple 4...
