Teriyaki Madness — Restaurant in Oviedo

As much as I want to like this place and give 5 stars.. there is some work needed to be done. The taste is 5 stars, and I just can't say no after too long to give another shot on the other factors that dropped this score to a 3. The wait time is awful. I always place my order an hour out. I live 45mins with traffic, and always seem to want it during weekdays with rush hour. I will get there a couple minutes after the placed time, and twice out of about 10 times now that I've visited, it was on time. The last visit I waited 25mins after the due time. I'm very patient, I'm never rude to staff and I've even stuck up and I'll tell another rude customer off if they are being verbally abusive about it to the staff, but.. cmon guys, that wait is a killer, people will get heated. The rice is a 50% shot of being cooked right as sometimes it's over cooked. The veggies are about 75% ok as Sometimes they only give you cabbage. The staff seems dismissive of almost anything as well. The 1st time I made a visit, the person that placed the order paid online and I had no idea. They had me pay again at counter telling me it wasn't paid for yet. The 2nd visit week later I brought to attention to the cashier to let the manager know I need a refund or credit for the amount, and said they would look into. 2 weeks of nothing and I took it to my bank and got my money back. I keep coming back. I've been to the one in Lakeland multiple times and always 5 stars. So because of that, I haven't given up yet. I will gladly revisit my review after another year or so and give a final verdict if this place sealed its final nail in the coffin for me, or if they have lived up to what Teriyaki Madness is...

I just had a terrible time all around. Maybe just a fluke but it was truly awful. I ordered online and when I arrived 15 minutes later they had no order for me. I showed them where it had been processed and taken from my account, and I was still told I would have to pay a second time and take it up with my bank. (Actual Words They Used). I patiently waited another 20-25 minutes where I experienced the most disturbing things by what appeared to be a MANAGER (younger Hispanic gentleman) or I’m assuming. He was wearing different clothing and had no hat or hairnet on in the kitchen while he was clearly working on whatever line they have. He was very very verbal (not in a good way) with the gentlemen (two white gentlemen, one with long hair in a hairnet, and the other in a camouflage face mask) on the grill and cooktop stations. Under no circumstances should you remove your mask, cough in your hand with a glove on it, pull your mask up, and resume working. Especially when we’ve been in a global pandemic for almost a year now. I understand that this place is new and there are some kinks to work out but it’s as if this “manager” has never stepped foot in a kitchen before. When he finally brought me my food I asked him about the charges and received and even less comforting reply than the staff had given me. “You’ll have to wait until I’m available to help you.” I will never step foot into this restaurant again. -1/10. My son & I thought we would try Teriyaki Madness last Friday, Jan. 6, 2023 and ordered though GrubHub around 6:37 PM. For 2 meals, mad spicy orange chicken bowl, steak teriyaki bowl & 1 order of crab Rangoon, it came to $40. A bit pricey and that was without GrubHub's fees. Also, the delivery time was estimated to be an hour but ended up being an an hour an a half! The crab Rangoon were mediocre, definitely not worth $6.88, Panda Express does better. Worse yet, 45 minutes after my son ate his chicken he was in the bathroom sick as a dog with FOOD POISONiNG from under cooked chicken! I hadn't eaten mine yet and if course didn't. I gave Teriyaki Madness a whole week to respond and refund our money with an apology at the very least ( ditto for GrubHub) but received nothing but silence from either one . Instead of taking their time to make sure the food was cooked properly and safety they hurried up so they could go home. Then don't even care enough about their customers health to offer an apology! I definitely DO NOT recommended eating here unless you want to be sick...
