So my sister, her husband & I stopped by Applebees after going to Bull Bash today. My sister ordered the shrimp stir fry without the shrimp because she's vegan, her husband ordered the riblets & on a separate ticket I ordered the shrimp stir fry. Well this isn't like any stir fry I've ever had. I got the shrimp but I got hardly any vegetables. The meal is almist all rice & shrimp. So when the tickets came my sister got charged the same as I did. But she didn't get anymore vegetables than I did. So her meal was almost all rice. When we asked why they charged her the same our server took the ticket. When he came back he I'm assuming had talked to the manager. Anyways he said that she would let him change the price this time but probably not the next time. So it just doesn't seem right that someone is charged the same for an item if they don't want the meat. In this day and age vegetarians and vegans are more and more common. You would think a company like yours would offer your meals with the choice with or without meat. How hard would it be to put that choice on your menu and in your computer's. But because of the way our server told us this, we probably won't bother you again by eating at your restaurant. The manager didn't even bother to come out and talk to us herself. You should try to make more of an effort to to please everyone. After all isn't like we expected the chef to make my sister her very own meal. It was one That's on your menu just...
Read moreOn Christmas Day around 6 pm, I visited here for some take out. Still mostly stuffed from X-mas feasting, I only wanted some fries and a Ceasars salad. Since Applebee's was one of the only places in town open for business, that's where I went. As soon as I saw how jam packed the parking lot was, I assumed it would take a few to get a carry out order and was prepared to wait. I placed my order, french fries and a side ceasar salad, at 6:36 pm and then went to wait in my car so I could sit down. At 7:20 I went in to check on it only to find that the order had not been turned in to the kitchen. I was assured that it would only be a couple more minutes and sat down to wait. At 8:22 pm I finally got my order. I waited almost 2 hours for 2 things that every busy restaurant already has prepared to serve! To top it off, none of the things I specifically asked for, twice, were in my bag (Xtra cheese, croutons and some ketchup)...and I do mean bag, singular, because my hot fries were put in the bag with my very cold salad. By the time I realized this, my fries were ice cold and inedible. I paid $12 for this. I understand that they were super busy that night, which is why I ordered, what I thought, was quick and easy and impossible to screw up. Thats what i get for assuming, i guess. Don't think I'll be back to Applebee's for...
Read moreInsisted I return to the restaurant and move my car after serving me alcohol, or they would have my car towed. Had lunch with a friend and before ordering a drink, I asked my husband if he could pick me up. The waitress and I even joked about what a lightweight I am. Soon after getting home, I called to make sure they knew which car was mine and that we would pick it up later, once I was able to drive safely. The person I spoke with called me back a minute or so later and told me that the manager was going to have my car towed if I did not move it immediately. I explained (again) that I was not able to drive yet because I had a drink with the meal I ate there. Her response was that they were setting up for bike night (or something to that effect) and that the car had to be moved immediately or it would be towed. My husband was asleep and my daughter was trying to get ready for work. Since no one else was available, she took me to Applebees and moved the car while I explained to the manager that it's extremely irresponsible to insist that a customer drive after you serve them alcohol. Is that even legal? There were only 2 or 3 tables there while we were eating, so they had ample opportunity to ask me to move it before serving my drink or ask my husband to move it when he...
