I don't understand the poor reviews for Mr. Wok. I've been craving Chinese and saw the "We Deliver" sign out front while headed home tonight. I got home, checked out their extensive (par for the course in any Chinese restaurant) menu, and ordered delivery. The gentleman that took my order was extremely polite, answered all questions thoroughly and professionally, and read my order back to me at the end. I was given an estimated delivery time of 45 minutes but the food showed up in 25. Delivery guy, just as the gentleman who took my order, was very polite. Food was piping hot and VERY good. I ordered cashew chicken and was quite pleased with the food. They didn't skimp on the sligthly more expensive ingredients, the cashews and baby corn, like a lot of places do. The egg rolls, while not the best I've eaten in my life, were definitely in the top 5, Crab Rangoon (cream cheese wontons) was amazing - with plenty of filling, rice was the perfect balance between tender and sticky, and the hot and sour soup was the second best I've ever eaten (my ONLY complaint is the larger than normal sized chunks of tofu). And the serving size? Wow! Enough for me to eat tonight for dinner and 2 meals tomorrow. At a very reasonable price. I do think a 3.00 delivery charge when I'm only a half-mile away was a little extravagant but that's about normal these days wherever you order and it saved me the trouble of having to get out and struggle with food in one hand and a toddler in the other. I just hope the delivery person is the one getting the delivery fees. I don't think it would be fair (at any restaurant) for the store itself to benefit from the fee when the driver is using their gas and wear and tear in their vehicle. This was an overall great dining experience. I honestly don't know what happened to the cutomers that left bad reviews. I didn't get the impression that the employees I dealt with are ever anything other than kind to the customers and the food was a 9 out of 10. I will be going back again...
Read moreI have eaten here several time in past two years. Found it was really good with good prices till tonight when I ordered my usual and it was nasty. When I went to nicely ask if they could do anything for me since it was a 10.00 order that usually is very good. I get the run around , hung up on. customer serves very bad. Both manager and cashier. All I wanted was a small discount on next order even though I couldn't eat this one and they refused to even talk to me about it. Manager in back ground kept referring to the cashier where I could hear her that there was nothing wrong with this food. It was extremely salty, over cooked pork and eggs , no green onions and up charge over the special order from the past. I was hung up on four times and called back for manager and cashier acted like she was the manager and i said no ur not and she hung up on me again.I am sorry young lady I know the managers voice it is Chinese not american. All they had to do was acknowledge the mess up and discount me. For this I give a one for their customer service. I often stay for my order and see how they act angry u r even in there ordering when they r eating. I worked in restaurants for years it happens and customers come first. One sad customer will not go back. BTW I always tipped for carry out also. Sad we don't owe you anything but our business and you failed on ur end. I always referred people too guess that will stop now also. I was treating you with respect . you need to respect who...
Read moreThe food is not always delivered fresh, it is reheated and microwaved too often and you can tell by the hard rubbery texture and taste of food. I had to tell them I wanted fresh food and to take their time on delivery. I used to order often over $50 worth of food so I noticed their inconsistency and if it is delivered really quickly you couldn't smell it at the front door and this is not my first time ordering Chinese food in life, so something was odd about that to me and I'm not wasting my money and disappointing others with food you can't even reheat the next day. I told them about it one weekend because it wasn't the first time it happened and they were rude and defensive and told me to bring the food back in I had delivered and assumed I wanted my money back. They lost my consistent business by treating me that way, had they worked something out like a simple apology or discount on next order they may have not lost a customer. The food is sugary based ketchup flavors, hard clumped together, tough to chew and subpar at best, if you ever had Chinese food any other place you know this place is trash. When you demand fresh they might think about it. I think any restaurant should have fresh as a standard and value the customer and they do not. I will never order from them again. It's not hard to cook your own anyway at least you know it's fresh and clean. Good size portions and they do deliver. The rest...
