Great American Cookies — Local services in Owensboro

This place was out of cookies 2 hours before close? What is the point of a cookie place being open without their main product. It sucks to drive 20 minutes with your whole family to grab some cookies and leave empty handed with sad kids. The WORST part is that they had racks of cookies behind the counter but when we asked about them they said they couldn’t sell them to us because they were for tomorrow. Seriously? As a consolation prize, we got a drink for our son and after the employee handed it to us they walked to the back without saying anything and we had to wait and ask someone to check us out, and when we did they seemed annoyed. We sat outside for a bit talking and noticed 5 or 6 large groups walk in and right back out like we did. I had hoped that this location would be better than the mall one, it seems the poor customer service followed them to the new one unfortunately. The Owensboro GAC has done a wonderful job creating the custom cookies I’ve ordered for my family’s events for years. While most of us love our GAC cookies covered in icing, my daughter likes a nearly icing free cookie. Satisfying everyone is tough but the folks at the Owensboro GAC always pay attention to my special instructions about the amount of icing free cookie I need and what size scale I’d like the icing drawing to cover that makes their cookies a hit with everyone in my family by giving each of us what we love most in a slice of a GAC cookie cake. They even do a great job of creating a beautiful design from my words describing what I’m envisioning each time which is a sign of great talent. They never disappoint. By far one of the rudest services I’ve encountered in Owensboro. My two young sisters and my mother went here for cookies, and they were low in supply of the one we wanted. We asked FOUR TIMES If they were gonna bake anymore; three of those times they’ve completely ignored us. The fourth time they said ; “When they’re Gone.”. Very Rude. Out of all the establishments in that mall, that should be closed for that simple reason.
