Azzip Pizza — Restaurant in Owensboro

This was my 1st time there. I had high hopes that it would be good because it's only 3 minutes from my house. The pizza looked great. They put lots of pepperoni on it, lots lots of pizza sauce, lots of sausage which looked kind of weird, it didn't look like any sausage I had seen, They put lots of mozzarella on it and Italian seasoning. After they had baked it And I picked it up I was super impressed with the way it looked. It was one of the best looking pizzas I'd ever seen. But when I tasted it I was extremely disappointed. It had no taste whatsoever.. I couldn't taste the pepperoni. I couldn't taste the sausage. I couldn't taste the mozzarella. I said if someone had cut off a little hunk of it and put it in my mouth and I was blindfolded I wouldn't have known what it was . Very weird. I will have to continue to go to Mod pizza where the pizza has a definite pizza taste that I am familiar with. I'm 70 years old I know what pizza...

Doing a little work in Owensboro, its supper time !! I spot this BRAND new place. I see this ZERO Carb crust , made from chicken ! Chicken breast, olive oil, salt, spices I chose the Italian Stallion,, PESTO, , RED ONION, GREEN PEPPER, MUSHROOM, BANANA PEPPERS, MOZZARELLA., sun dried tomato, Nueske's Bacon ! That smoky flavor with Pesto was truly a great experience, first bite knock out ! extremely fresh veggie. I understand its a chicken crust, if they can figure a way to crisp it up a bit. The flavor was shockingly awesome, they just SMASHED it out of the park. Very COOL story about these FAMILY guys from Evansville with 10 locations ! I come here often, but today was it. Lucy, a manager as I was told, is extremely rude. I’ve had encounters with her before and it’s always the same. Rude, zero customer service skills, not friendly, never a welcoming attitude, almost as if she hates her job. Mind you this has been every time I’ve gone and she is there. I honestly hope when I go it’s not her but to my luck it usually is. Today I wanted to make a small change to my order and she acted as if it was burden to her, I asked about different meat and she took 2 fingers and just threw it on there like I was asking her to do the most difficult task.
