Stopes in here for dinner. We ordered the calamari and garlic cheese bread. Shortly after we order they brought those items out and wow. What a huge order of calamari. It was hit and tasted pretty good. They brought out cheese sticks I guess on accident and told her we ordered garlic bread. So that came out shortly after and it was ok. We ordered our food. Chicken Alfredo and chicken piccata for my wife. While we were waiting and enjoying our appetizers. The waitress brought out a basket of rolls too. They were soft and warm. We probably could have skipped the garlic bread had we known. I ordered an old fashion while we were waiting for our food. It never came. Once I got the waitress to come back and check in us I asked if they were still fixing the old fashion. She had forgotten. So I watched her make it at the bar. Basically I got a lot of simple syrup and maybe a shot of bourbon. Super sweet. Our food came out how and it looked good. My wife was picking at hers and she told me it was super salty and we noticed too that it has a ton of capers on it. The Alfredo was ok. Little salty and very very creamy cheesy. Waitress might have been having a bad night because it was difficult to get refills or ask her for anything. Someone else ended up finally coming to the table to...

A relatively new restaurant in Oxford located close to the Malco Movie house at The Commons and Premier Lanes bowling alley and family fun center. The service was fast, friendly and courteous. We never felt rushed although the restaurant started to fill up fast. Modern , contemporary atmosphere. Spacious location. Our appetisers were very appetizing, ample and well prepared and flavorful. The servings were ample enough to be a good alternative to an antre. We had the garlic bread and fried calamari for our meals. The menu is not overly expansive but offers a number of different options and combinations of the dishes offered. They do have an alcohol menu with wine, beer and spirits. There is a separate bar in-house. They have a private dining room. The Lemon Cello cake I had for desert was delicious. It was drizzled with honey and dusted with powered sugar thankfully not overly much. The topping was shaved white chocolate. I will certainly recommend Amore to friends and others who are looking for a delicious, flavorful and well prepared meal. The restaurant is family friendly and offers a kids menu. The food and service here were excellent. My friend ordered the calamari as an appetizer, and it was awesome. Big plate with their marinara as a dipping sauce. I had the Shrimp fra Diavlo and it was excellent. Just the right amount of spice. My friend had the lobster ravioli and he had nothing but praise for it. Said it was the best he has ever had, and he's a guy who loves to eat, and is very critical. They also serve the best rolls as a starter, and they were delicious. Buttered with coarse salt sprinkled on top. Wish I had gotten the servers name, because I would be singing her praise too. She was always stopping by to check on us and make sure we were happy. She was incredible, and right there to get our drink refills when needed. Overall this was about a 10 out of 5 visit.
