Southern Coop — Restaurant in Oxford

I visited this location last Friday before work to pick up a quick lunch. I ordered a 3 piece chicken strip combo on the restaurant’s website and prepaid online like plenty of modern people do. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was told that I needed to present my driver’s license/ID before I could pick up my order. I stated that I had the receipt for my online order and was told that was not enough. The server explained some story about credit card fraud that happened to the restaurant a few years back. The experience was quite bizarre. I’ve never been required to show a government ID just to pick up a small food order. It was not an unusually large order, and I ordered directly through the restaurant’s website and had the receipt and order confirmation email on hand. It was 3 chicken strips. If customers who order online are expected to be guilty until they prove themselves innocent upon picking up an order, that expectation should be boldly outlined prior to purchase. I will not...

We order 16 boneless wings and fries at 6:44 and then get to the restaurant at 7:04 our pickup time was 7:05 keep in mind and online the order status said, “Available right now” and we get to the restaurant and they proceed to tell us it wasn’t ready and then they go to the back and come back to tell us they don’t even have the sauce we wanted which they have our phone number for the order to call and say hey we don’t have this sauce what else would you like, instead they tell us 15 mins extra now on the wait time. Wont be back this is the second time out of my two times of coming that we’ve waited past time for our order to be ready. Then I proceed to go inside and get my order after the time waited and they ask for my ID, drivers license #, or name and number to pick up food I ordered online and paid it’s ridiculous like I’m purchasing a firearm to get my wings! One of my favorite chicken places. The tenders are large, delicious, and very tender. You may not need as many tenders if you are used to Chick-Fil-a, Zaxby's, or Slim chickens tenders. The plain tenders have a slight kick to them. I prefer them tossed in their hot sauce. It has a very nice level of heat and it is not over the top. It is definitely hotter then most chicken places. The fries are good and have a light seasoning on them. The Mottzarella sticks are good and the portion is enough for 3-4 people.

The staff is nice and the owner is very friendly. I met her on my last visit. She and her husband seem to really care about their customers. Locally owned and definitely...
