Management, please give specific instructions to your staff if the customer asks for any additional items like onions. Please instruct your staff and waitresses if a customer ask for onions to let the customer know there will be an upcharge and let the customer decide if they want to pay for the upcharge instead of just charging the customer. No establishment I've been to in Oxford has NEVER CHARGED for onions, especially $1.99 for an extra small cup when only a few onions were used. Let the customer make the decision and it won't seem like the waitress will be left paying the difference or not getting a tip because of the young girl who is trying to make the customer pay for something when no communication was given... As I told the young girl, two employees had the opportunity to let me know there would have been an upcharge and I would have refused and if that's your policy, I totally understand, but it has to be communicated to the customer....
Thanks!
I see that you disregarded the major issue. It's not whether or not you charge for additional condiments.
The issue at hand is that it is protocol for an establishment to make customers aware of an additional charge at the time of the request versus when the bill is issued???
Your staff did not tell me that there would be an extra charge. To add insult to injury , I did NOT order sour cream.
You can review the camera to see that..
The appropriate customer service action would be to apologize for the lack of communication and update your staff on protocol.
I visit many of the restaurants in Oxford and surrounding cities, and I have NEVER experienced this.
Oh, I was billed $1.99 on my ticket. I'm not sure if she revised the ticket after I left, but the charge was indeed on my bill. That's why I marked through the bill, added taxes, and paid for the...
Read moreToday we order a p10 chicken and rice for our son and my wife and I split a la tablita for (40 dollars by itself ) she picked the order up as we are at work and when she returned we noticed the shrimp was spoiled. Literally smelled like a dirty sock which anyone that eats shrimp knows that's a sign of mold. We called and explained the situation and was told to return the food for a credit. As we returned the food the acting manager Claire Pannell told us that it was just the seasoning lol 😆 yeah ok this isn't my first time to have shrimp in my 40 yrs. Keep in mind we literally had to wash the smell of the shrimp off our hands ! Yes it was that rancid. After she went through the food with her bare hands (rendering it completely inedible to us at that point) she informed us she could refund 2 dollars back for the shrimp. The manager refused to talk to us or call us back. I don't recommend this establishment to anyone. The fact they smelled the shrimp and still served it to us says alot then lied saying it was the seasoning. We declined the 2 dollar refund and decided to hold onto the shrimp in case of food poisoning due to the shrimp being in a mix of other meat. We wanted to have something to give the doctors just in case we ended up sick. Avoid at all...
Read moreThere was literally nobody dining in. Staff everywhere just chillin. Place is pretty. Food is awful. Asked for guacamole on the side-they pit it in a medicine cup. Ordered chimichanga-they asked what protein. Offered beef, shredded beef or steak. Offered spouse chicken or grilled chicken. Told us peppers and tomatoes in chimichanga. Food was so bland. Beans were puréed and so hot from microwave. Chips were not warmed and stale. Waitress was annoying with way too many check ins. There were so many peppers (literally a large bell pepper cut in strips and under cooked. Slight amount of tomatoes smashed. Couldn’t find my steak so I decided to count the pieces. 7 tiny strips of overcooked tough meat. They literally looked like worms. Same for my husbands chicken. Check came and discovered (we were not told) that I was charged $3.00 extra for those 7 pieces of steak. My husband was charged a $2.00 up charge. No telling us up front of those charges. If you do not put a tip they will automatically charge you a 20% tip. Will never go there. Close this place down. This is robbery. It was gross what we ate and gross how we were surprised by the bill. If I could give a...
