Last night my husband had a birthday surprise dinner for me with my family and closest friends. It was a disaster from start to finish. First, he was told they don’t do reservations anymore. Then when we all get there, the wait time is 35 minutes even though it’s visibly clear that there are empty tables. The hostess tells that they don’t have anyone to serve us for that section. First lie. So we wait. My niece goes in and she tells her it’s the kitchen that’s the problem not the waitresses, second lie. Then she comes out to tell us that she’s waiting on a group to leave before she can seat us. Not to mention it’s a section open that I know could accommodate us but she said it would result in a fire hazard if she puts us there. I’ve frequently visited this place and seen groups sit there with no problem but now it’s a fire hazard. Ok cool. We at this point are trying to find somewhere else to go cause this can’t be how I spend my birthday. She finally comes and tell us we can be seated. Now the true frustrations begin. She starts to take our drink orders, alcoholic beverages and nonalcoholic beverages. Halfway through her computer shuts off and has to take everyone’s order again. It is now after 8 and the bartender comes and tells her that the bar shuts down at 8:30 and no drinks can be on the tables after 9pm. We were not aware of this because none of us except 2 were from Oxford. Now we trying to figure out why no one told us this from the door because we could’ve easily sat at the bar until a table was available. The manager came out and really didn’t help the situation. She said they didn’t know we wanted anything from the bar. It’s a birthday dinner, why wouldn’t we want at least one drink to toast with? Now it’s 8:45pm and all the time we took talking, we could’ve at least had one drink and been happy with that. She takes our food order and midway her computer crashes again. We do our orders over and now she tells my husband that they are out of ribs. Ok, fine whatever. Our food comes, some plates are cold and some are cooked wrong. No one returned food because she said it was gonna take longer to get a new plate. So we suffered through that as well and ate our original plates. Now mind you, she said they were out of ribs. A table of 4 sat down in front of us and was served ribs. He stopped another waitress and she said they were not out of ribs. Ok, now the bill comes. After asking us several times if it was one bill or split and we told her split, she still brings us one ticket. Now she’s confused and can’t figure out how to split the tickets after we tell her who is all on each ticket. She goes and gets the manager and never came back. The manger informed my husband that they were never out of ribs and she doesn’t know why we were told that. The manger had to redo all the bills because the waitress charged us for the alcoholic beverages and double nonalcoholic beverages. After finally getting things right, the manager apologized and we finally left. The worst experience ever and I’ve been going there for years. Can’t get that birthday back and it hurt because everyone’s night was ruined from the door. If we had know from jump that our night was gonna end this way, we would’ve most would’ve went somewhere else. It’ll be a while before I come back, if I ever come...
Read moreThis was the worst experience ever! After, being left on hold for over 15 minutes when trying to place the order to Maddie the waitress being so rude and disrespectful by walking up to my car window and saying “What’s up” after my order is wrong, as if I did something wrong. Then when I informed them that my queso was so cold you could turn the bowl upside down and it didn’t move she proceeded to blame it on me. I also informed them my soup was missing and come to find out there was no soup even made so they told me it would be ready in 4 minutes after waiting another 10 minutes granted we have been waiting outside for over an hour they lock the door and I knocked on it and asked for my money back because I was tired of waiting . Maddie proceeded to look through the door and point and laugh as if it was a joke that they had messed our order up and then when I informed the manager he said nothing to her and let her walk out the door and head gone as if nothing was wrong!!! Disaster! Nightmare!...
Read moreOne of the reasons why I am giving this place a 4 out of 5 starts is because every time I've been there so far (like 4 times) I always had a problem trying to find someplace to sit. It was always either in a reserved spot or in a spot that the restaurant closed off. And so I decided to wait to be seated but no one came to seat me and my buddy....so we just took a seat where we knew it wasn't closed off and reserved but then no one came to take our order and we waited for like 5 minutes....so I asked for some service and they apologized and finally got to our order. However, despite all that, I have enjoyed their food and would still go there again and again. I got the 3 meat combo with the street corn and ribs, for their ribs I would get sweet and spicy hobanero ribs and sausage bites on the side with frise and tenders😋😋😋. Their prices I think are actually pretty decent. Very nice atmosphere and nice waitresses. I have yet to try their big burgers that look...
