LandShark Seafood & Catfish — Restaurant in Oxford

I have enjoyed land shark crawfish since they started in the food truck. I hate leaving reviews that aren’t positive, however sometimes it’s needed. I usually try to reach out to the business first before doing so. Landsharks crawfish are usually great! However, lately ( 2 different times in a little over a week) they have been blah. I have noticed the crawfish have really started to become inconsistent. They’re either really good or not very good. When i got some today, they were good flavor wise. However, i kid you not almost the entire 3 pound bag was essentially scraps. There were SO many broken off claws, mushy crawfish or uneatible ones in the bag. Charging $8+ a pound, only to get barely any crawfish is not ideal. Like i said i love landsharks crawfish and always have! However, lately they just really haven’t been consistent. I hope to see them improve again bc i really use to...

The issues we had with this seafood are as follows: The lobster mac & cheese is spicy without warning, as is the seafood sauce the snow crab clusters come in. I’ve tasted fresh, good quality crab and this definitely wasn’t it. It smelled fishy (in a bad way) the moment I opened my food and some pieces were extremely salty. I didn’t get the experience I was looking for when I normally pay to eat crab. My last complaint is the serving sizes. For the price you pay for a plate of fish, the pieces (although tasty) are very small and the serving size for the coleslaw -no exaggeration- is the smallest I’ve ever seen…it came in condiment packaging…it was laughable... just like the 3 hush puppies that came with it. 7-21-- 2 month update. Maybe it's the change in season, or the students being less, but the food has changed. Quantities are considerably less- provided photos of the same shrimp mac for comparrison, and the seasoning is so heavy that it smothers all the flavor to death on the seafood. If you like Rum try the Pina Colda it is packed full of Rum. Hush puppies are ok and you get a decent little basket in an order.

Perfect mix of Cajun food, quality service, and Oxford hospitality. Something for everyone on the menu from crawfish and juicy shrimp to chicken alternatives. They have quick and accurate service from a friendly staff that keeps us coming back. Friendly bar staff with Bar side service. Alcohol selection is decent, and drink quality is consistent....
