As I go through Oxnard and look into hole-in-the-wall eateries I was recommended this place to try by the locals. Jungle Juice is located in a small strip mall, I don't even know if it's even considered a strip mall. Anywhoo, it's located next to a couple of other eateries and some shops, easy to miss; especially during the night since their sign isn't working.
Ordered horchata and carne asada torta with everything. The horchata was blended, so a horchata smoothie. It was so smooth and had a thick consistency, not as thick as a milkshake, however not your usual watery horchata. Because it's blended the flavor held so much better and you know how the cinnamon and some of the rice powder settles to the bottom? Well in this horchata everything was dispersed evenely and it helped because it's blended. It is $6.25 for a large and it sounds pricey, it's worth it.
The torta hit the spot as well, and for $6.75 it was worth it as well. There wasn't anything extravagant with the service, it was meh. I have to say though the horchata is worth visiting Jungle Juice. That is all. Happy eatings!! ^__^
NOTE: They take credit card and on Saturdays they are open...
