Taqueria La Fogata — Restaurant in Oxnard

I initially went there because I was looking for cheap eats. Google suggested that it was a reasonable price. It looked so delicious so I immediately ordered, The fish was amazing the service left something to be desired because they did not actually fulfill the request that I had asked for. I said no tortillan no rice, substitute beans. They gave me extra rice and French fries. They were more than happy to fix the order and give me the beans that I asked for. In all it was a pretty good experience although it costed me $18. I left the $10 tip because the lady who helped me was so kind and generous especially in fixing the mistake. I remember coming to this restaurant since I was 4 years old, for the past year I’ve been coming with the intention of there caldo de pescado. It’s always not available, only during weekends. Came a weekend and they don’t sell it anymore. Great. So I ordered the menudo with hominy and pork leg. Didn’t have salt or flavor. Gave me very little oregano on the side and very little cayenne powder. Which didn’t help at ALL. We also got 4 sopes, meat was dry. I ordered a licuado and took 1hr to get it. Very unprofessional, went to take my mom and I was very dissatisfied with the service, the waitress was telling me something while she was eating, I didn't understand what she was saying because she had food in her mouth, after she was done eating she tells me I had to go to the register and order food from there which didn't make any sense cause she was our server so it seems they're under staff, I was disgusted by her service that I didn't want to order anything for myself.
