Urbane Cafe — Restaurant in Oxnard

We have been going to Urbane Cafe for many years. We were happy when they opened a new location on Gonzales Road in Oxnard. We enjoy the freshness and quality of their food. The staff are great, and we eat there, or pick up to go food 2-3 times a month. In the last 8 months when we order the Cafe Salad we’ve been wondering why we are paying for a salad that has mostly lettuce with a fair amount of chicken, but hardly any, or none of the Feta cheese, pear slices, walnut pieces, or avocado slices. I spoke to the general manager about it one evening and he said corporate had just informed them that they could start adding more of the pears, avocado, etc. to the salads. I told him that was good, because we had decided we weren’t going to pay full price for a chicken and lettuce salad with little or nothing else in it. He assured me that was going to change. Well, It’s been the same for months now. Picked up two Cafe Salads tonight, hoping for the best, and it was chicken and lettuce, 2 tiny pieces of pear and avocado, no walnuts or feta cheese. Nothing has changed. Will be getting salads where we get what we pay for. Other than the salad, everything else we order...

I ordered the ahi tuna bowl which I must say was good but I have a problem. What I received was not what was pictured. Instead of receiving ahi tuna with rice & kale, there was no rice, and instead of kale, arugula. All the rest of the ingredients were there. They also added avacado. I'm not displeased with the change, although I was mostly intrigued with this dish because it is pictured with rice. However, my biggest problem is the lack of communication that came with this dish. Gladly I'm not allergic to avocado and actually like it. But the changes and replacements and lack of ingredients should've been communicated. It seemed so sneaky for the host to hand me my food in a personable way but not disclose that I wouldn't be receiving the exact order pictured. That...

I don't really like fast food restaurants so when Urbane Cafe opened here I was super happy! I either order the SoCal or the Santa Maria BBQ Chicken Salad. It is soooo good!!! I go so much I don't really have to keep giving my name when ordering. When you get your order I recommend you ask for some Chipotle Ranch. It is omg amazing! Tastes so good with either your sandwich or salad. I rarely order food from anywhere else because I always look forward to getting my food from here. I think I might be too in love with the food... The employees are really amazing too. Great attitudes, friendly, they work hard everyday as everytime I go it is always packed with customers. Obviously by now it wouldn't be a surprise for me to say that I highly recommend you checking this...
