This place just opened so I'm chalking up my low review to that as of right now. It is very disorganized. I went up to the register twice before anyone acknowledged me.
The drive thru: first of all, I have rarely seen the drive thru have less than 8 or 9 cars in it since it opened! It's crazy. It blocks the lane and cars trying to drive past Starbucks. The only time I've been through the drive thru though I did not encounter any problems. Just had to wait a bit.
Inside: the inside is much less than ideal. First of all, it's dirty. I had to ask for a rag to clean the tables myself and the cashier did not offer to help or do so for me. Cups and dirty napkins and spills are being left around on the tables. For college students looking for a place to stay this can be hard due to the set up. There are more bar seats than tables and some are highly elevated which would make studying hard for me. Socializing it would be fine I would think. The service inside took forever even with 6 employees. There were only 2 drinks ahead of me and yet it still took a long time.
If it were up to me I would most likely go to the Starbucks on Esplanade. They are much friendlier, it's cleaner, they are faster, and they seem to care more. Also, the set up is easier to study at.
*I may update if the flow slows down after it has been open for awhile and the employees have had a chance to get their feet under themselves.
*UPDATE 7/17/2016 I am updating my review to one star now (down from two). After waiting in the drive thru 20 minutes last week and then 30 minutes today I can't even give it a 2 star anymore. It's been a couple months now since they have opened and nothing has gotten better. I was hoping it would and I could change my review. Still dirty inside, still very slow and they constantly get orders wrong. What is the management...
Read moreI prepaid from the app, an online coffee order to be picked up. When I got to the window. The guy at the window yelled at me that I needed to let him know that I was here by talking to the drive through Intercom. I usually come in to pick up my app orders so I did not know that I had to do that and I thought my order would be waiting for me when i got to the window. So, I replied to his demand: Well, you know, I'm here now and my name is Vicky, can you just give me my coffee order that I paid for? He proceeded to reprimand me so I started to get irritated and said: Just give me my coffee. And he told me to quit yelling. So I finally just said to him: you know what, you're being rude to me and you're not worth it, so forget it! Then I just drove off. And I never got my coffee. But I did pay for it. My unfilled order #70372196 at Starbucks 1921 N. Rose, Oxnard, CA. I do not know the burista's name, but he was a big mean and angry man. I ended up going to another Starbucks close by. Got my coffee at the 2nd place and the staff there was great. What I expect from Starbucks and thier usual good customer service. I guess there is a bad apple...
Read moreThis Starbucks “was” our ”go to”Starbucks. But on Saturday while I waited in line deciding my wife walked around three or four minutes. when I was ready to order I stepped up but the employee was busy. I wait a few more minutes, literally a few more minutes and then someone to my left about 6 feet away stepped in front of me and then she started talking to this gentleman, ignoring me.. .don’t know what it was about but it took six more minutes or so then another employee came to help, all the time ignoring me. the first employees didn’t say “sir there’s another gentleman in front of you” she just kept talking to this gentleman about something, and ignoring me. So I got I frustrated, but not rude, turned my wife who was looking at some coffee cups for sale and I said let’s go someplace else, and we started to walk out. the employee in question said “have a nice evening sir, enjoy your evening” in a very sarcastic away. I just looked at her and indicated without saying anything that we weren’t being served. Rude woman cashier. We will avoid this Starbucks as a rule from now on....
