At first my experience was good, I was greeted by a very nice sales lady and informed her that I was interested in buying a swivel rocker recliner, she showed me a floor sample that was 50%off but it didn't swivel. I did notice it rocked like a glide rocking motion and said I could live without the swivel. The sales lady never informed me that it didn't actually rock but allowed me to believe that it did. I bought it and had some friends pick it up for me the next day, later when I got home and sat on it I tried to rock it and realized that it didn't actually rock. It seems that a wallaway recliner tends to sway back and forth just a little bit but it doesn't actually Rock. A week later I stop by the store cuz I was in the area and it was next to my bank and I talked to a lady named Esmeralda. I tried to explain to her that I thought the chair rocked, but once I got home I discovered it didn't. She insisted I knew that it didn't Rock rather than try to ease my concerns she talked down to me and it she got argumentative to the point where I had to tell her to settle down I explained to her I'm not raising my voice or getting upset so why are you? She may as well have come straight out and called me a liar..! She calmd down eventually and said she would talk to her manager about seeing if I could return and exchange it and she called me the next day to tell me they would charge me 30% restocking fee in order to do so or $210.00 additional charge. I'm in sales and customer service I'm not complaining that I'm being charged a restocking fee or that the chair didn't Rock as much I'm complaining about the sales associate Esmerelda I felt she handled me I'm professionally that she should not have yelled at me or talk down to me or insinuated that I was trying to deceive her and I should not have had to correct her and asked her to settle down. Who treats there customers this way and expects to keep them as customers? I think customer service is very important today and just because you already have my money doesn't mean I shouldn't be treated respectfully if I voice a concern after the transaction is completed. Because of that I will not be going back to that store to shop, and I have a whole living room yet to complete as I am doing a remodel in my home. I've lived in this County since 1969 and I know a lot of people because I am in the sales business myself. I know only one thing that will travel faster than good word-of-mouth advertisement and that is bad word of mouth advertisement and trust me that is exactly what the store is going to...

My opinion on prices for certain items at La-Z-Boy furniture stores are a little high priced however, your furniture is always a dollar or two less in comparison to other furniture dealers.
FURNITURE SALES: Your 'Furniture Sales' announced and or during holidays are Superb and affordable for Customers which is usually when I take advantage of when I'm in need of replacing furniture in my home.
CUSTOMER FACT NOTE: Just a note to consider, there are many (Male & Female Widowed, Divorced, and Retirees) on 1-single household income. It would be nice for La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries/Stores to offer,
SENIOR DISCOUNTS - to their Customers throughout the year (EXAMPLE: Included with ALL your HOLIDAY Sales and APRIL Income Tax month / And Or, at least a weekend each QUARTER of the Year. This could be a win-win situation for your company financially, and for your Customers.
MY EXPERIENCE AT La-Z-Boy (Oxnard, CA) I was assisted by 'Donovan' at the OXNARD La-Z-Boy located on Rose Avenue (in Oxnard) near our 101 FWY. I personally like the variety of furniture styles available at your store and Donovan assisted me with the couch I previously purchased last year.
Donovan is very knowledgeable of your furniture brands, names, materials and overall an Excellent Sales Representative of your store. He is Customer Friendly, a delight to converse with, has a warm sense of humor, and very easy to speak to in detail about what you are searching for and desire in furniture. He is also patient when it comes to a customer sitting on so many different styles of furniture (as I did) and describing specifics about each in question.
I want to add,
Because of my previous experience at La-Z-Boy Furniture with Donovan when I purchased my sofa, is why I returned to La-Z-Boy and specifically asked for him.
Donovan is obviously and displays concern when it comes to your Customers being satisfied with what they are purchasing from your La-Z-Boy furniture store, which I think is an outstanding quality.
Total Quality Customer Satisfaction is very important, when it comes to your customers.
Thank You. Ms....
Read moreI am deeply disappointed with La-Z-Boy as a company. I was talked into the 5 year ServeCo warranty by a sales rep at the Oxnard location. The rep spoke very highly of the 5 year ServeCo Protection plan. I normally don’t buy protection plans but he spoke so highly of it, I trusted him and we decided to buy it.
Eventually we had a stain. I called approximately 6 months later. My entire experience with ServeCo was AWFUL. The employees are rude and often non responsive. I ended up calling and emailing over 10 times.
My first claim was denied by ServCo because it was outside of 30 days. We then had a separate 2nd stain and I called within the 30 day limit. After no reply to my online claim, I called.
I spoke to ServeCo employee Ashante. After a long rude interaction, I was told I was lying about the substance of the stain and that it was actually dog poop. I was rudely dismissed. After being cut off multiple times. I convinced her she had the wrong photo. Only after this large effort did she confirm she was looking at the wrong customers info. She told me she would then escalate the issue.
The claim was then denied due to it being outside of 30 days despite the stain only being a week old. I clarified that this stain was new and separate from the last claim but she would not listen to the facts. I reached out over 10 times to her and would rarely get any response. When I called, she was always, “busy”.
Serve Co is an evil company and I am deeply disappointed in La-Z-Boy for partnering with them.
This whole time Serve Co has looked for any possible reason to get out of their responsibilities. I was never treated properly as a customer.
After about 5 more calls ServeCo finally agreed to send a cleaner out but under the premise that the claim was still not valid and any future previously covered issues would not be covered.
I implore La-Z-Boy to drop ServeCo ASAP. They bring the entire La-Z-Boy...
