When we walked in, the left side of the room was empty, and for a second I thought the place might be dead. But then we saw a full party on the right and learned another large group was on the way.

Even with two parties already there, the staff never made us feel like we were a burden or that they couldn’t handle us in the cozy space. They asked if we were okay sitting at the bar (we were), and they were upfront that there might be a wait since everything is made from scratch. Honestly, that kind of communication and care made us feel really appreciated right off the bat.

We got mimosas, which were spot on, and I ordered the biscuits and gravy, which were absolute perfection. The biscuits were thick, fluffy, buttery, and flaky, with just the right bit of doughiness. The gravy was rich and peppery, with solid chunks of sausage. My wife had the chicken and waffles, and the chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy inside, paired with waffles that were golden and just right.

Even with the big parties and fresh-made food, service was quick and the bartender was super attentive. We felt taken care of the whole time. We’re already looking forward to coming back and seeing what’s next on the menu. be a wait since everything is made from scratch. This restaurant is dangerous for anyone with food allergies! I asked if a salad could be made without an ingredient to which I am allergic. The server said yes, so I ordered it and again said to please leave out x. They assured me it would be left out. The food was delivered and the server repeated the salad did not have the ingredient. I didn't see it on quick inspection and took a bite. I am fortunate I only developed a stomach ache and headache. I set about removing the ingredient, which was throughout the salad, as my allergy to this ingredient is admittedly mild but unpleasant. The server commented that they'd asked it to be left out when they saw me picking and removing the ingredient. What remained of my food after I removed the item was not good. My date said his food was not good. We still had to pay full price and no offer was made to remake my salad. We will most certainly not be back. I understand food allergies are a joke to most people, but the truth is that they are real, and they can be quite dangerous. I implore restaurants to please be respectful of this. Even if they do think the customer is lying about an allergy, if the ingredient can be left out and the customer asks it to be left out, if you say you will leave it out, please do so! If it cannot or will not be left out, please say so, so that the customer can simply order...

Want to give a straight forward review of this place. It’s local and I really hate doing it but it was just bad. 30 mins for old fashions that were almost undrinkable. I still drank mine because I didn’t want to cause problems or waste. Appetizers were awesome (Brussels and crab cake). $50 land flight plate was “marrow” that came with a bone with ZERO marrow, a filet that was flat out RAW, like raw raw, and the other filet was edible but just barely.

$135 dinner after comping the burger that my son never got to eat while waiting over an hour for it.

Will not return without the absolute star treatment promise from ownership at their expense. My expense was a sort of wrecked Saturday night, wasted time, and substandard food and service. Was NOT busy at all. There was no excuse. We were the first people there. I’m appalled and completely DISAPPOINTED.

Maybe go somewhere else if you want consistency care or I...

The Cork Room brunch was to die for! Carrie and Paul knocked it out of the park with this concept! They serve dinner Thursday-Saturday nights, and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays! Chef Patrick Fletcher puts so much craft and detail into each and every plate! They’re introducing a new menu this coming week, and offer seasonal specials in addition to the amazing menu! It is a MUST STOP if you’re in Paducah! ##bestbiteintown #paducahky #downtownpaducah #brunch #fyp
