My mother and I visited this museum on a Saturday. Maddie and Linda were the two docents and were very charming. They were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic that they made this museum truly special. They were friendly and upbeat and could answer any questions we had. They were excited to have us as guests and pointed out things we would possibly be interested in. This museum has so many unique and interesting displays and artifacts. We are looking forward to going back to see these wonderful ladies again and finding things we might have overlooked.

We paid $4 each for admission to the museum. It was rich with stories and items important to Paducah's history. Even though I didn't go there looking for a history lesson, I got a very fun and educational experience. The lady running the place was a friendly, outgoing wealth of information who even played the antique organ for us! There are some items on the second floor and the steps could be difficult if you have a disability, but there is so much on the first floor, you wouldn't be too disappointed.

Interesting historical information about the local area and the inside of of the steam engine as seen in the photo I included. A mist see and isnt expensive to go in.

A truly remarkable community museum in a national registry of historic buildings and places that are MUST SEE across America and around the World!

Market House Museum takes you back in time to the days of the infamous Lewis & Clark Expedition and moves you forward through time and the overall history of this community and region. From the War between the States to World Wars I & II. Segregation. Jim Crow. To the Korean War and Vietnam.

I highly recommend this place as a MUST STOP & SEE for your visit to Paducah. Near the foot of Broadway and right next door to Doe's Eat Place.

All welcome....
