Great place to escape the extreme Texas heat! Lots of sun but heat is short-lived in afternoons to a few hours before evening cool breeze sets in. Great hiking with beautiful views & waterfalls nearby: Waterfalls- Piedra Falls- Ez (Fav) Treasure Falls-Ez Views- Piedra River-Ez Piedra Ice Caves-Moderate but Favorite with awesome 180 views at end plus ice caves. Don't miss Refreshing cool river dips downtown combined with rejuvenating Hot Springs at one of the resorts or free hot spring pockets at various places in the San Juan river downtown, Pagosa Springs!

Stopped in for some information today but the woman working there didn’t acknowledge our family. She was at her desk the whole time. You’re better checking google reviews to find things to do. Of course when a white couple came in they were immediately offered information, maps, brochures. Skip this place if you’re a minority.

Nice place to center yourself before exploring Pagosa. As a public restroom goes, it is only a family restroom so it is first come first use...btw don't forget to lock the door..😳🤢

The only thing that the visitor center had to offer was telling me about the Hot Springs that were right behind the place $67 a person you know I would think that there would be some kind of thing where you could go you know for like the last two hours of the day or something for like a discounted price or but you know it doesn’t matter what time you show up it’s still $67. It doesn’t matter if you want to use just one pool or all the pools I just think it’s really overpriced to go to Pagosa When there are a lot of other places that are a lot cheaper and have nicer hot spring the only plus side of this one is it’s the deepest Hot Springs for what that’s worth if you have kids there’s practically nothing to do in Pagosa that’s kid friendly except one tiny park. That’s right next to the river where the river is raging all the times so you can’t even put your kids on the...

We were traveling from Utah to New Mexico and stayed in Pagosa Springs for a night. Next morning we had a few hours to spend exploring the town. What a great job ladies at the visitor center did giving us some options on what to see and where to eat! We took a stroll through a town park, soaked in its hot spring (free of charge), dipped into a river and went for a walk. The town itself is lovely. The lady at the front desk was having her lunch when we came, but she took time to talk to us and other visitors, coming out of the building to point things to see, not rushing anyone, friendly chatting with all and making sure that everyone's being helped. I wish every visitor center was like the one in...

This visitor center is in a lovely building right next to the San Juan River. You can park for free in the center's parking lot.

Once inside, you will find free maps and plenty of information about Pagosa Springs and the surrounding area, including other states. You can pick up brochures here about dining, lodging, and fun things to do.

You can refill your water bottle here and pick up a free Pagosa Springs sticker. (That was the highlight of my visit!) There is also a penny squishing machine here, so you can get your souvenir squished penny.

The woman staffing the place was...
