The only thing that the visitor center had to offer was telling me about the Hot Springs that were right behind the place $67 a person you know I would think that there would be some kind of thing where you could go you know for like the last two hours of the day or something for like a discounted price or but you know it doesn’t matter what time you show up it’s still $67. It doesn’t matter if you want to use just one pool or all the pools I just think it’s really overpriced to go to Pagosa When there are a lot of other places that are a lot cheaper and have nicer hot spring the only plus side of this one is it’s the deepest Hot Springs for what that’s worth if you have kids there’s practically nothing to do in Pagosa that’s kid friendly except one tiny park. Read moreWe were traveling from Utah to New Mexico and stayed in Pagosa Springs for a night. Next morning we had a few hours to spend exploring the town. What a great job ladies at the visitor center did giving us some options on what to see and where to eat! We took a stroll through a town park, soaked in its hot spring (free of charge), dipped into a river and went for a walk. The town itself is lovely. The lady at the front desk was having her lunch when we came, but she took time to talk to us and other visitors, coming out of the building to point things to see, not rushing anyone, friendly chatting with all and making sure that everyone's being helped. Once inside, you will find free maps and plenty of information about Pagosa Springs and the surrounding area, including other states. You can pick up brochures here about dining, lodging, and fun things to do.
You can refill your water bottle here and pick up a free Pagosa Springs sticker. (That was the highlight of my visit!) There is also a penny squishing machine here, so you can get your souvenir squished penny.
