Quality inn Pagosa springs The call that was made to us for our room was quite pleasant and nice to talk to the lady that was setting the room up for us. That’s where the pleasantry stops though. As we were arriving to the quality inn, we come to find out, quite literally on arrival, that check ins stop at 6:45 pm. We were not given a call nor a courtesy email telling us what room we will be going into and our room key wasn’t in the after hours check in box. We absolutely had a horrible experience trying to get a key card to get into the room we booked weeks ago. We were lucky enough that another couple was trying to get the attention of the front desk receptionist to get directions of where their room was. She didn’t have a good interaction with anyone though for that she was rude, annoyed at the entire world, snappy, and acted like she was superior to everyone. Not a good person to put as a receptionist in my opinion but, to each business their own. After the key card was given to us, we made our way to the room and again not impressed with the room for the amount we paid for at all! Toilet paper holder that was secured to the wall,at one point, was definitely coming out(added picture). The Air condition is a make shift window unit that is on its last leg and had a weird stale smell.(added picture). The sheets were not cleaned before our arrival or had stains on it as we got in, not entirely sure which one it is but hoping it’s just stains(added picture). The ,”included breakfast” did not have any protein(eggs, sausages, yogurt, etc). They did have waffles though and cereal. They had orange juice and that was it really. The only saving grace about the room was the shower and shower stall had a cool feature to it. This is not a quality inn that I would ever stay at again.

I booked a king bed room for my travels across Colorado. Checking in I was given a room with 2 queen beds in another building. I was told thatI would much prefer the 2 queens because the king rooms were being renovated, and my room already had been. Walking into that building, the automatic door was inoperable. A plastic spray bottle was placed so that a hand can slide in and open the door manually. At the room, the door would not open fully. Once inside and looking around, I realized this was NOT a renovated room. The air conditioner was held into the wall by plywood and tape, with gaps to the outside. As a single woman traveling alone and staying on the first floor (against my requests), this is NOT acceptable. It could have been kicked in quite easily! The beds seemed to be very worn. Even the TV remote control had tape to hold it together. The breakfast was advertised to be "healthy" yet included only items with sugar or bleached flour. No fruit was offered, although it was on the 'list'. In the room, none of the cups were sanitary. Each one had holes in the covering plastic. I spoke to the desk clerk about a discount or refund due to the poor condition of this inn. She was very rude and told me that I would not be receiving either. Being a of Choice Privileges member, I called customer service to assist me in rectifying this, as they had done in the past. They did not. All I was offered was points for my next stay. Who would think I want to relive this experience? This is not the Quality I expect with this hotel chain. Clearly this is all about their profits. I guess if they gave discounts for bad experiences, they would go bankrupt, as they should! (Don't buy in to the sign about their "commitment to satisfaction".)

If you don't travel with a dog, avoid this place at all cost. I have photos I took of our initial room, which had more than a handful of things wrong. The moment we entered, the loud a/c and heater unit kick on in 30 second increment cycles and the smell of chemical potpourri was overwhelming. I had to open the window to aerate the room. A ceiling tile was buckling right at the door entrance. The bathroom taps were backwards - cold was to the left and hot to the right. The toilet was leaking, I had to wrap a hand towel around the pipe attached to the bowl itself. The beds - oy vey - they are beyond their point of return as they buckle under any sort of weight and form a "V" in the center. Carpeting, walls, were stained. Furniture and old faux Bob Ross artwork is super dated from the 70's. We asked to switch rooms which was nominally better, but smelled like must/mold. The floor lamp had a bizarre yellow circular stain on it which turned out to be someone had put an inner yogurt lid on the inside of the lampshade. It's a sheer miracle how housekeeping keeps the rooms as clean as they do and the lady who checked us in and out at the front desk lady was lovely. Aside from those 2 positives, the rest of this place is one big avoid if you don't travel with a pet. And speaking of pets, some owners don't clean up after their dogs poop, so someone stepped on dog poop and tracked it into the hotel. We tried to go to the pool, but it was in such a sad state, that we turned around and headed back to our room. The owner of this place clearly does not care about maintaining or updating the premises so there's no quality here. Better head somewhere else.

When we arrived the building was falling down on the whole side! In the lobby, it was so outdated, and nothing like the pictures showed when we booked on the app! I expressed my concern to the front desk clerk, and she was immediate and defensive. She told us we were I. The updated part of the hotel and needed to go to a completely separate building. We did, and upon entry, it was all under construction. The carpet was not even decor well down the hall to our room, and tile was unfinished in the entry as you walked in. There were people right outside the entry smoking pot, and it smelled SO BAD! We HAD to walk through the cloud of smoke to get in. Then, when we got in our room, it was so dark, and the couch was so mashed down, you couldn’t sit in it. The bed had two complete divots where people sleep, so the mattresses were so overused! In the bathroom, there was a new stool, and a new shower, but yellow stuff running down the wall. I wanted to ask for my money back, but it said it was nonrefundable when I booked, and the front desk lady was already so rude! |When we went to check out, Ester was also really rude. She never asked how our stay was, but I did ask who the property manager was. She would not give me a last name or how to contact her, so I took a picture of the name on the wall I asked if there was any contact information and I was told no. I asked for a receipt, and I was told that there was no computer system that could print me a receipt. I asked to have one mailed to me, and she said ok, and then just walked away. I stood there, and she asked me what else I needed. I asked her if she wanted my email address, and she said “I guess I can write it down if you want me to”. |This was the second HORRIBLE stay at a quality inn, and I will NEVER stay at another one! I will write. Review everywhere I can about this...

The building housing the reception desk looked like a dilapidated and abandoned barn and I didn't realize at first it was an open hotel. There was rubble, garbage, and large trucks idling all night parked about 8ft from the entrance to the building with the rooms which made it hard to identify the entrance. Two men were grilling on a camping stove on the ground right in front of the entrance.

Most of the hotel appears to be under renovation with a large sheet covering a section of the hallway, areas of the entrance missing tile, torn up pain on the walls, and very dirty.

The walls and ceiling are extremely thin making it so that you can hear what every other hotel guest is saying and doing around you and making it very difficult to sleep.

The plumbing in the building seems to be broken. Any time someone uses a sink, toilet, or shower, the plumbing groans and shakes the walls. Our toilet required 4-5 flushes each time to function and felt like it could easily come detached.

The shower would alternate between low pressure, high pressure, and medium pressure randomly, along with either burning hot or freezing cold water, without touching any of the knobs.

The AC would run full blast for 1 minute, making the room frigid, and then stop and not run for 5-10 min allowing the room to heat up considerably. Changing the settings did not modify this behavior and the wild temperature swings made it difficult to sleep on top of all the noise.

There were what appeared to be children and family members of the housekeeping staff running up and down the hall screaming at different times of the day.

I don't believe this hotel should be open in its current state, at least until renovations are complete. It was like sleeping in a construction zone.

The one bright spot was that the hotel receptionist was polite, friendly, and...
