Such a cute place with nice people. One young lady got out an iPad to try to help me find any information on the pass opening after another diner told us it was closed because of an avalanche. Very clean with a surprising amount of seating but with the opportunity to get to know some folks at a community table or two. We had lattes, a breakfast sandwich and a quiche which were all delightful. The quiche was better than my grandma’s and that is the truest compliment, and the highest, I could ever give. The coffee was so good we went back again an hour later when we rolled back through town after finding out they were avalanche blasting and the pass might not open for 2 days! We decided to head down through NM, taking the one way out of Pagosa that did not have a pass that was shut, so we stopped back by to get a cup for the road and let them know to pass on to other travelers. We walked up steps and I did not notice ramps so I’m not sure if it’s accessible or not. Sorry, it was rain-snowing and blowing and we were rushing… If we are ever up that way again, we will definitely stop by again! Thank you all at the Pagosa Baking Co!...

Only ended up coming here because the first couple choices were closed. Line took forever and by the time we got up to the front, it was 11:01 and they no longer served breakfast. Changed the order to available options even though we selected something almost half an hour prior to that when we arrived. Finally ordered, and sat there for 20 minutes waiting on pre-made food. Finally went to ask them about it after watching them serve plenty of people after us. To find that they just forgot half our order in the microwave for 20 minutes, handed me cold quiche and instructed me to heat it up again in the microwave in the lobby. I asked for the second half of our order only to be ignored once again to help a customer who had just ordered... finally got her attention again and accused of not paying for the second half of the order and had to wait while she “went to check the receipt” and eventually handed more cold quiche to heat up ourselves. The whole experience was awful. So don’t go here unless you want to waste an hour waiting for twice microwaved food and...

Such a disappointment going here. I just got rude and racist treatment. I was taking a call while having coffee and a lady came and yelled at me. “This is not a place to conduct business. You are loud.” I was literally talking normally. It’s insane. There were a lot of people in there chatting, some were working and yet she came and mistreated us. I’m pretty sure she was the owner. An employee wouldn’t do such a thing. All of this could have been handled respectfully. But I guess she hated seeing us there.

We are almost completing a very long road trip spanning multiple states. We have stayed at multiple hotels, been to many restaurants and cafes. People have been very nice and kind.

This lady needs to go and learn something from others. Such a shame. We got here on a friends’ recommendation, but left with a huge disappointment.

The coffee and food is ok. The place is nice but not at the cost of experiencing racism.

Go to the root coffee. It’s much better. My daughter hated the...

I wish I would’ve taken photos of the other items but my fam and I stopped in to the bakery and were pleasantly surprised by all of the social distancing/covid safety measures the shop had created. We ordered take out and tried their stew, breakfast burrito (pictured), a poppy seed muffin, coffee (espresso and cappuccino), and got a lemon bar for later. The food is fresh and made with quality ingredients. The burrito had chorizo (with a nice little kick), potatoes, egg, and cheese. It was HUGE! The stew had tons of flavor and was also a great portion size—everything was delicious and the service was great. It was busy and they had a great system for managing crowd control/social distance, keeping guests waiting outside aware of how many people were ahead of them using signage on the door and at each “stop” in their social distancing line. It’s also a very convenient location! We picked up breakfast on the way to go skiing and were in and out in about 15-20mins, without calling ahead.
