Well, I am not a person who usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to do it for this restaurant.
A little context here, I am moving a lot internationally especially Europe (lived 20 years over there) and Canada (10 years) so I know US food as well as others.
Always been addicted to Japanese food, wherever I lived, and when we came back in the US we tried Hayashi with my wife and kids.
Wan always took care of us, it is a place of calm, quiet and serenity, nobody is speaking or laughing loud because everybody understands that the quiet environment is part of the experience.
Regarding the food, I will go straight to it, this is by far the best sushi I have eaten so far... period. Always fresh, soya not needed... like... at all... so fresh and tasty by themselves.
What compelled me to write this review is how unfair and mean are the review from guys like "Incognito Auditor"...
This person obviously didn't go to Hayashi in Palm Beach County on Northlake... it is impossible.
It is so clean that I could eat ON THE FLOOR... for real...
The service is impeccable, so nice and respectful... they worry about your experience without coming at the table every 3 minutes, interrupting your conversation to make sure they'll have their tip... glass never stays empty for more than 2 minutes after you finish it...
Hayashi is the kind of restaurant where I will probably never order... I just enjoy the service and the place too much...
I heard that they renovated back in 2022 so I can't talk about what happened before that, but just go there and try it and don't read those poor reviews... make you own experience...
We've went at Hayashi several times the last 2 months, ordered sushi, BBQ, Fondue, Teriyaki, etc... we never waited more that 10-15 minutes except for sushi where we might have waited 20 or so...
I could understand 2 or 3 stars somehow, but those putting 1 star are just trying hurt this restaurant which is low... very low...
We discovered the place a couple month ago by pure luck while going to Publix... wife and kids keep asking to go eat at Hayashi...
To the staff, thank you for the...
Read moreThis was my first time at Hayashi but I hope it's not my last. While trying to kill time this afternoon I looked around for a nice place to eat Hayashi was at the tip of the list and there's a reason why.
From the moment I stepped into the doors I was greeted by a courteous and knowledgeable staff. We got there just as it was opening and the server jumped to attention making sure we were informed of our orders and liked our teas he got out to us.
We both got teas My grandma got black and I got green. We both got sweet. She's not very adventurous so I got her the chicken teriyaki. I'm a bit more experienced so I ordered the beef Bulgogi lunch box as well as a Hayashi roll.
First up, the portions are great, standard sized miso soup but a decent sized pre meal salad. The house dressing sets wonderfully on the tongue blossoming with tang and sweet without overwhelming. The Hayashi roll was okay, but it's an American style roll with tempura in the middle and spicy mayo. Out of everything it was my least favorite but I'd still order it again. My Bulgogi was amazing you could taste the smoke, the marinade and the quality of the beef in every bite. It was cooked well and went wonderfully with the rice, gyoza, ShumaI, spicy cucumber, and melon.
It was all so delicious but I got full fast. The portions are better than I'm used to while keeping quality high. I'd definitely come back again. The staff and owner Suki are very nice and their food will make you and your...
Read more⭐ Hayashi – Sushi That Made Me Question My Life Choices 🍣😵💫
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to eat sushi that tastes like it just barely survived a long-distance flight in a hot suitcase, Hayashi is here to fulfill your nightmares. 🎒✈️🥵
Let’s talk about the sushi – because technically, that’s why I came. But after my first bite of the “Rainbow Roll,” I saw no rainbow... just grey skies of regret. 🌈➡️🌫️ The tuna was giving more “please help me” than “fresh from the sea.” 🐟💀 And the rice? I’ve had better texture from packing peanuts.
The miso soup was so salty I think Poseidon himself made it. 🧂🌊 I didn’t know I ordered a liquid salt lick.
And can we PLEASE talk about the ambience? Dim lighting is cute until it feels like you’re dining in a haunted closet. 👻🚪 I dropped my chopstick and was too scared to look under the table. There may be sushi ghosts under there.
Service? Let’s just say our server had the same energy as a fax machine trying to connect. 📠😐 Confused, slow, and occasionally made dial-up noises (I may have imagined that part).
Summary: If your idea of Japanese cuisine involves warm sashimi, sad tempura, and a vibe that screams hospital waiting room meets escape room, Hayashi is calling your name. 🎭🍤🚪
I left full… of disappointment. Also possibly...
