This happened on June 29, 2025. This place does not keep their word and they were also rude to my wife when she called them. This is the conversation I had with them when I text them. Hi. My wife sue came in yesterday she called in an order of 2 bagels 1 with bacon and 1 with Taylor ham on different bagels and they mixed it up. I didn’t notice I ate my bagel but it had bacon and she doesn’t eat Taylor ham. We live on the other side of town in the r section so she wasn’t driving all the way back there. She call to complain and the girl that answered the phone said was come back and we will change it for you. It’s not worth driving all the way back there all she wanted was a credit and the girl said no. She comes there all the time but now you lost a customer. This was their response. First let me start out by saying I am very very sorry for this inconvenience. We do not wish any inconvenience on our customers! I also apologize for the confusion in my training with my staff on how to handle customer complaints I will most definitely be addressing this right away. As a token on my apologies I will personally write your name down and have a 100% discount on your next order because that is what we are supposed to be doing. I hope you accept my apology and I am very very sorry for this misunderstanding. In the future please ask for Lindsay or Kim and we will take care of you right away. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Her name is Sue and she says thank you. Thank you for allowing me to make this right. Have a wonderful day! And today, July 12, 2025 they went back on their word and they were rude to my wife on the phone never go back to this place again. I was going between knuckle sandwich and Kendall’s to keep the businesses going but now I’ll just stick with...
Read moreUPDATE: I went back to this place today to give them another chance. Although my experience this time was about the same, I lowered the score.
Today, I was dealing with a woman that claims she is the owner. Based on her body language, facial expressions, and demeanor, she doesn’t care if customers have a good experience. No more chances unless management/ownership changes.
ORIGINAL UNEDITED POST: The bagels and food in general is good. But inconvenience and the nonchalant attitude of the staff are why I give a low score.
Inconvenience: Not able to order online in advance (no website, either); Phone is almost always busy when I have tried to call and place an order; When answered, I've always been placed on hold, and sometimes no one comes back after waiting a long time; Line to order and pay is long and slow-moving in store; and they frequently run out of popular bagel types after mid-morning.
Staff example: I'm only giving one example to keep this review shorter. The first time I went there, I told a young lady that there might be something wrong with their phone. I had gotten a busy signal all morning.
Her response after a shoulder shrug and blank stare was that they’d been busy. Then she said, “I don’t even know where the phone is.” She did not seek a manager and had no urgency about fixing this.
I don’t fault her, though. Lack of training and coaching about customer experience is on ownership. Her demeanor is typical for the restaurant.
But there's only one other choice in town, and their bagels are not...
Read moreFirst of all, you might want to skip over my review because, well, I've never had a genuine New York bagel. Never even been there. So, my idea of a New York bagel may be different from what you're looking for.
That being said, these are GOOD bagels! They have many, many types. They have Asiago Cheese, Chocolate Chip (my favorite), Cinnamon Raisin, Blueberry, Bialy, Sesame Seed, Garlic, Onion, Strawberry, and don't forget Everything bagels. To couple with that they have many different HOMEMADE cream cheese or "schmear" flavors. The ones I know of are Plain, Strawberry, Olive, Honey Nut, Lox, Bacon and Chive, and more I can't remember them all.
They're plump, soft, and fresh every time I go here. A baker's dozen is around $12.75 and is great! One bagel is only $1.15!!!! Such a great deal.
Their schmears are for sale too and to me they are a better price and WAY BETTER TASTE than Philadelphia in the store. I always get an 8oz container, it is huge, and only $3.99!! Of course I always get Honey Nut, I could literally (and sometimes do) eat it with just a spoon.
That's not all they serve though. Kendall's Bagels & MORE. They serve hot sandwiches, eggs & bacon, DELICIOUS tomato basil soup, they have Italian tri-colored cookies, black & white cookies, muffins, coffee cake, and more.
Overall, I find their prices to be reasonable and their food to be better than just good, my taste buds really enjoy it here and I think...
