I was so hungry thinking I was going to get the service I get at the Castaneda s in Indio. Unfortunately, it was absolutely the worst experience ever. I ordered a carne asada burrito and five super rolled taquitos. I had to jump on the freeway and get back to work. Low and behold, Im looking at my receipt and at the burrito that was made. I clearly asked for a carne asada burrito. That's not what I received. My husband and I don't eat pork. The burrito was carnitas. The five rolled taquitos were cold. The pico de Gallo was old. Tomatoes were dry and soggy. I of course lost my appetite. I called to the restaurant and spoke to the Manager, Lily. Lilly was so rude to me. I asked to have the owners contact information . She clearly told me too bad . She wouldn't give me owners information. If I wanted assistance I needed to go back there now with the food and she could remake it. I have my receipt clearly showing my order. She didn't care that I couldn't go back INMEDIATELY. I expressed I was passing through and I was already away from that location.. I couldn't return back immediately. I explained to her the circumstances. I told her I don't think you understand. She quickly and rucely said I don't think you understand. She was short and curt Customer service for a manager absolutely UNBELIEVABLE!.. OWNER YOU TRULY NEED TO BE AWARE of Lilly's rude customer service and very inconsiderate. Here's my receipt . Please contact me to resolve this ASAP! I will never eat there again . What happened WHEN customer service was EVERYTHING ? WE MADE SURE WE TOOK CARE OF OUR PATRONS Going above and beyond was the most important thing to do for our customers. Lilly needs to be retrained to treat people better. Especially when customer is not at fault , order incorrect and paid for it . I won't be part of that behavior very...
Read moreI would rate this restaurant zero stars if I could. I went today and ordered a supreme tostada with beans and carne asada and three taquitos, all plain. I specified that I wanted NO cheese and only beans with carne asada, as I am very allergic to cheese. For the taquitos she asked if I wanted guacamole and cheese and I kindly replied, no thank you. I said plain for both of my orders and when I received my food she had put tomatos, lettuce, sour cream, cheese, and whatever else on the tostada, as well as my taquitos were covered in guacamole and cheese. I had told her I ordered both plain with no cheese on anything, even the receipt said "NO cheese" and she had the audacity to say "The receipt says no cheese but she didn't say that" in Spanish...like what?? After that she was taking my order again because they had messed it up, she REALLY tried to charge me AGAIN for them messing up my order?! She had took back all the food she had made incorrectly and tried to charge me again. She argued with me, which is very unprofessional to argue with a costumer when they were the ones who messed up my order. She was basically calling me a liar and was saying I never said plain with no cheese although it says that on the receipt. I have been to many Castañeda's restaurants and this by far has been my worst experience ever. I am very disappointed in this restaurant and will never be buying from this location again. I highly advise avoiding the Castañeda's on Varner Rd, and if you rather have better service, go to the one near Dinah Shore. Here's the funniest thing, her name was KAREN V, how typical. This is a picture of the...
Read moreUsed to love this place, in fact when I travel down to Palm Springs area, I ALWAYS make this one of my stops to grab a bite to eat, but the last few times at 2 if it's locations I've had issues with the food! This particular trip I was first at their Indio location, and after waiting for a couple of ground beef tacos, finally the guy at the register asks me if I ordered the ground beef tacos? After I said Yes, he then tells me that they don't have any ground beef! I asked him why did they take my order and money, and not say anything then? He said, "sorry, we were busy ", I asked for my money back and left. I then went to their other location in Palm Desert (Washington) ordered 3 ground beef hard shell tacos, and when they gave me my order, I looked at it and said "I think this is someone else's order, I ordered hard shell tacos" (these were open face soft tacos, more like a soft tostada) she then told me "sorry, we don't have and hard shells today) I don't know why she NEVER told me when I ordered or while I was waiting for my order, but not happy and ended up...
