Just Java Coffee — Restaurant in Palm Desert

As a returning customer I don't feel valued or respected. My wife and I sat down to have lunch on the outside tables in the shade while getting our tire replaced at Big O Tire and not even 2 minutes later we were being harassed by a random man walking inside. I was caught off guard as he said something like, "I pay taxes for all these tables out here, this belongs to me!" As I peacefully tried to eat my lunch I looked up at him confused. I said, "Excuse me?" I asked him, "What are you trying to say?" He replied, "These tables are for customers only." It turned out that he was the owner! I politely said, "Ok, that's all you need to say." We moved to the tables in the sun, not knowing that we weren't allowed there neither. Some lady came out and started threatening to call the police on us and before we knew it the owner and her are both in my face threatening to call the police. There were over 8 open tables outside available to the public, no signs indicating that the tables belonged to this business, and all we were trying to do was finish our sandwich. This shouldn't be a racial thing, but I would like to point out that there were two caucasian people (non customers) sitting at the same tables and they were at no point asked to leave. Why were we? As a returning customer, I will not be back here, not even for a coffee. The one day I come to sit down just to eat my sandwich I am harassed and treated like a criminal. How sad!! Shame on...

This coffee shop has changed so much under the new ownership. The prices and up charges are extremely ridiculous and the rudeness of the staff is just so unprofessional, its like we as the customer are doing them a favor by being there and oh the tip before we even get the order as they take their time in doing so. Very frustrating and disappointing for a small business owned place, that we would have gladly continued to support had it not been for the poor customer service.

My friends and I have found a much more customer friendly environment and we will never be back to this place again. We end up leaving frustrated and mad at the attitudes of this place and shake our heads . Don't waste your time and don't waste your hard earned money either, only to be treated so poorly. We have been coming to this place for years. The parents who run it are amazing as for there daughter she doesnt take criticism well. I ordered an egg salad sandwhich that is now apparently orange. Either there food is rotten or they poured a pound of salt in it. She refused to remake it. So they got a tip and my money for nasty food. Wish this place was as good as it use to be.

The daughter decided to refund on October 3rd. Just for the sandwich, not the $5 tip. We won’t be going back. She’s very rude. Either way time and money was wasted, and serving a disgusting egg salad sandwich, was good enough for her. Unfortunately Just Java...
