We had both our Friday Wedding welcome event as well as a organized dinner at Gigi's restaurant at the V Palm Springs and we cannot say enough good things about it! For the welcome event we talked with Lisa who was great to work with. She was responsive and easy to work with as well as very organized. We pulled together a Friday welcome event in a semi private event space just next to Gigis a few weeks before the wedding and it far exceeding our expectations. Everyone commented on how cute the set up was! The bar is very modern and we served chips, guac, and margaritas. There was string lights and tons of seating for the older people. Lisa coordinated with a balloon company who put balloons in the pool and made it adorable. It was also super affordable which is really hard to find in Palm Springs.
We also had a private dinner at Gigi's the Monday following our wedding with a large group of friends who decided to stay in town. We worked with Greg who was super accommodating and even opened up for just our group. We ate a variety of salads, pasta, halibut, salmon, and chicken. ALL THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD!!!! It is a clear a lot of thought has been put into their restaurant and bar. Their drink menu has the most unique glasswear and presentation and tastes delicious. From the copper glasswear to the bohemian light fixtures and neon lights their Palm Springs vibe is on point.
I cant say enough good things about both GiGis. A great night out with friends or a place to organize an event...
Read moreYes the ambiance was nice but that’s where it ends! The server couldn’t get the orders right, after explaining extensively about the artichokes dish I wanted to order he forgot to place the order for it including one of our drinks I never got my main dish or drink after they brought all the food I had to wait over 30 min for the dish I ordered to be made. It was brought after we were done eating and it was just too late The worst part of this dining experience was the food. The menu was pretty small so we ordered a bunch of items . It was 5 of us. The food was absolutely disgusting. The steak tartare was uneatable, it looked like bad dog food on the plate, fried artichokes were too greasy, pigs in the blanket were too salty and the “hot dog” inside tasted like chemicals. Cauliflower wasn’t appetizing at all. There were different sized pieces and huge chunks of cauliflower on the plate with watery coconut sauce. Tuna tartare cigars tasted very fishy. Devil eggs were not fresh, very hard egg white , very plain and very disappointing. None of us enjoyed even one dish at this restaurant. Not sure about other good reviews may be there is a different chief works there on different nights but all of the food we ordered was very disappointing. So sad because we had so many choices and wanted to have good dinner but instead got below...
Read moreYes, I agree with most of the previous reviews, and 4.1 is pretty much right. It seems like this new place has some kinks to work out. It is an open-air space, but at lunch, the heat is very unpleasant. They need fans (inside) and water misters to cool it off big time. Don't get the smoked salmon sandwich unless you like raw salmon and a mouthful of vegetables. Staff needs to be trained to do more follow-up with customers to see how everything is. It is an attractive space. Unfortunately, the bathrooms are through a door to go outside. Very limited menu, and prices are too high. They could fix this by offering less expensive appetizers to complement the main course. $18 for 4 hotdog slivers with breading (while they did taste good) seemed a bit outrageous, I would say $9 would have been a more appropriate price. If they expect to expand their business to Palm Springs local residents, they will need to make some changes in...
