Unfortunately, I am in the middle of moving cross country, with a lot of luggage. So I had a lot of stuff with me and I couldn't keep moving from hotel to hotel since my family is coming down to help with the move. So I was basically stuck at the Motel 6 East for over three of the worst weeks of my life. I am disabled and I was traveling with my daughter, so like I said I couldn't move myself to another hotel with all of our belongings that we were traveling with. Let me begin with the rooms are filthy, you have to beg literally for room service which I'm lucky if it came three times while I was there for 3 weeks. It was unsafe, there were Tweakers outside our room at night, cop cars every evening, and the front desk would basically hang up on you when you call to complain. The exception of Jesse and Megan. Amber and the manager Calvin will absolutely useless. Rude, my bill was paid in cash on time upon rechecking in. They had no problems with me whatsoever, but they treat everybody that I spoke to with disrespect. The dog park area, is filled with broken glass beer bottles needles and crack pipes. They fling the laundry bags down from the second floor, that it almost hit my daughter by a foot. You need to go in the office everyday and ask for towels and 90% of the time there were no towels until after 4:00 p.m.. I understand it's a two-star hotel and I understand what you pay for, but I would rather be camping outside. When I asked the cleaning service to please clean under the beds because there was dust and tissues and water bottles under there from the first person, they said they do not do deep cleaning. So I needed to go under the bed to get something that rolled under there, and I was pricked by a hypodermic needle that caused me to bleed and hurt my back against the wall as I got up because the room is the size of a closet. I immediately went to the front office with the needle with my finger bleeding, and Jesse was very accommodating. I had to stay in the emergency room all night for blood work HIV and hepatitis, and they kept me over for two full days at Eisenhower Hospital just to make sure my tests came back negative. Upon returning to the hotel they requested that I leave because they did not want to reimburse me or give me any type of compensation. I spoke to corporate Melissa and Angelina they agreed to give me five more days at Motel 6 downtown. I refused. Because that does not make up for all the pain and testing and suffering and worrying that I'm going through right now waiting for my next round of blood tests. I am in the process of pursuing this matter with a solicitor. So if you do not want vagrants knocking on your door in the middle of the night looking for drugs, or people outside your room yelling screaming and fighting, I suggest you bypass this dump. Anyone can feel free to text me for additional information and photos. This just happened...
Read moreI've always hated the new "bold" remodeling of Motel 6 rooms. The plush padded chair has been replaced with a cheap plywood chair that's worse than what we had in elementary school. The carpet (which helped to muffle sounds) has been replaced with hard, uncomfortable, and loud wood laminate (you can hear every footstep and dropped object in every adjoining room and the rooms above). The thick comforter has been replaced with a thin nylon coverlet that provides no warmth and constantly slides off the bed. The shower enclosure, which had actual glass walls that you could hang your towel up on, as been replaced with an annoying shower curtain which billows and sticks to you and has the little plastic attachments that are always falling out of the rail at the top because the end-stops of the rails are usually missing (and, of course, there's no place to hang the towel). The new faucets have aerators (presumably to save water) which put out lots of tiny streams of high-pressure water (instead of a single large stream of normal pressure water) which hit the sink and splatter all over the place, getting water on anything you may have on the bathroom countertop, as well as all over the front of your shirt.
I get that you're trying to save water and make the rooms easier to clean, but I never had any issue with the cleanliness of the old style of room, and it was a lot more comfortable, practical, and useful to the guests (rather than easy for housekeeping). And the new style faucet aerators are truly annoying, even if they save a minimal amount of water, because of the large amounts of water that end up all over the bathroom and guest, rather than having the water stay in the sink.
Other than these issues (which would require another remodel to something more reasonable), the only fixable problem I had with the room was the new heater. The thermostat maxes out at 78, and even set to 78, the heater didn't come on, even though it said the room temp was 71. The 2 sporadic times the heater came on, it stayed on for less than a minute, and didn't heat the room by more than a degree or two. Overall, a rather cold and uncomfortable night, only to be woken up by loud talking by the housekeeping staff going by the front...
Read moreYour front desk agent kicked me out after 5 min from checking in. All because I gave the front desk a call letting him know, I had requested a queen size bed, not a full size bed. I am 6’2. I hardly fit in a queen let alone a full. King beds weren’t available. The Latino/Native American darker brown skin complexion, age 25-30, 5’7, over weight 210lbs. Came to my room within a min after conversing on the phone. He knocked on the door, demanded for a non-registered-guest, who was only dropping me off to provide any form of ID. My cousin who hardly speaks English said ok. It’s the car. I told him he doesn’t need to give him his ID because he’s not spending the night nor was he going to lounge around. My cousin was simply helping me carry my luggage to my room. My cousin walked to the front desk and advised the front desk agent he wasn’t going to provide his Driver License because he’s not staying over night. He was only dropping me off and carry my luggage to my room. Your agent, in front of other customers belittled my cousin and yelled at him to leave the premises. He wasn’t allowed on the property. My cousin embarrassed for the way he was treated told him they would both leave and he would like a full refund because my cousin paid for the night. Your agent said, ok, but I can’t give it to you. The registered guest needs to come down to process the refund. My cousin booked the reservation under his Visa debit card and his email address.
Once, I Noah walked down stairs seconds after my cousin was kicked off the property, to return the keys and request the cash to be refunded. Your agent said no, he wasn’t returning the money back to me. After clearly he advised my cousin he would that the registered guest needed to request it.
I am disgusted and ashamed how motel 6 East Palm Springs treated my cousin and the extended he went to humiliate both of us. The agent also yelled at me to leave the premises because I was now trespassing now that I wasn’t a registered guest anymore.
I would like a full refund of $90.00 usd to my cousins visa debit card on file ending with...
