The Stardust Hotel in Palm Springs, California, is a small and charming limited-service hotel in South Palm Springs, half a block from busy East Palm Canyon Drive. Late check-in was easy. I was pleased with my room and enjoyed my stay, and wouldnât hesitate to reserve a room there again in the future.
My room was clean and simply furnished with a very comfortable bed, a small fridge, a small table and chair, a dresser, and a nice HDTV. The ensuite bathroom was clean too, with a shower (no bathtub) and pedestal sink. The hot water and water pressure were great. The air conditioner was more than adequate - though it didnât get much of a work out - as the weather was unseasonably cool during my stay. I had no complaints about the room or room amenities.
The Stardust has an informal serve yourself continental breakfast. Thereâs a Keurig coffee maker and coffee pods, cold cereal (with milk), bananas, containers of yogurt, small bottles (pints) of pre-packaged fruit juice, and pre-packaged breakfast pastries. I was satisfied. Thereâs no restaurant on-site, but there are several excellent restaurants within walking distance ( Elmerâs, El Mirasol, Evzin, Mr. Lyons, Kingâs Highway).
This property is a two-star hotel, not a boutique hotel, and thatâs not a criticism itâs a fact. Regardless, I was more than satisfied with the accomodations .
If I had to find fault with the Stardust Hotel in Palm Springs, it would be with the âresort feeâ. Resort fees are a marketing ploy to reduced published rates and make the price seem to be more affordable, and itâs a gimmick. All hotels should stop charging resort fees now.
I enjoyed my stay at the Stardust, and would enjoy staying there again...
Read moreThe Stardust was incredible, and honestly, thatâs an understatement. This hotel is a total gem. From the beautifully designed rooms to the super cute pool area (and even a hidden vintage shop?!), I was blown away by how thoughtful every detail was. You can really feel the love poured into this place. I wanted a chill hotel in Palm Springs where I could relax by the pool. Nothing too rowdy, just something intimate, vintage, and peaceful with nice views. The Stardust was all of that and more.
I stayed in a Deluxe King room on the first floor right by the pool, and it was perfect. The room was nothing short of spectacular, with the cutest retro mini fridge, wine glasses, mugs, cups, everything you need! The lounge is also available so if you need anything you can head there!
The upstairs suites looked amazing too with little balconies and gorgeous mountain views. I seriously love this hotel so much. I never want to stay anywhere else in Palm Springs. They have yoga mats by the pool, a cozy fireplace hangout, a picnic table setup, an amazing pool, and tons of cute loungers where you can read, tan, or take a nap.
Jessica was super sweet and gave me a tour of the property! They even had vintage dresses in the rooms for you to play dress-up and hats by the pool to borrow so you can fully live your Palm Springs Barbie dream. Itâs those little touches that make this place feel extra magical. I absolutely canât wait to come back with my husband, family,...
Read moreWow. Where do I begin? This place offers so much more than it takes. We came here as a group of 7 for a girls trip and loved it so much we ended up spending most of our time at the hotel. Here are some reasons I highly recommend this place:
Unlimited drinks and snacks (keurig, sparkling water, Diet Coke, chips, cookies etc). It was nice being able to just go inside and make an iced coffee whenever I wanted. The owner even bought the whole hotel breakfast donuts.
Cute and clean pool with plenty of shade, lounge chairs, and space to hangout or do yoga (mats provided)
The whole thing was well designed and so eclectic and quirky. The rooms themselves are decorated nicely and very comfy.
There's a little thrift store in the back patio with collected items and a shaded hangout area, which was very discreet and pleasant for 420.
The staff is more than just a nice. They are cool, interesting, and you actually want to talk to them!
There is a cute inside communal area with TV (all the streaming services), plenty of space for me to do remote work, and architectural digest mags to flip thru.
If you are looking for a welcoming and relaxing experience this place is hospitality to the extreme. Also shoutout to the owner, Jessica, who made my friend an adorable wrapped and decorated gift bag for something she bought in the thrift shop.
Keep in mind I have family in PS and I've been coming to this city for 20yrs. This is a...
